Perfect for what I wanted. I got the matte one and it looks great with the satin finish I did on the guitar. I made a Telecaster-style guitar from scratch and wanted to make the pickguard from scratch as well. This one is big enough to get two Telecaster sized pickguards out of. This is good because I messed up the first one and had to start over. Overall, I’m very pleased.

Was pleased with the quality of this product. Have made a number of custom pickguards, and have had issues with material from some Asian suppliers. Particularly with the bonding of the top/clear layer of laminate. This particular material also had a nice depth of color.

Looks great, easily worked. Cut with band saw without any cracks and splits.

Nice looking pick guard material. Not amazing, but looks good. And does the job. I posted a pick of the bass guitar it was used on.

Bought this several years ago for a guitar I built. This product came flat with no defects. Has really good plastic protection laminate on it. The reason I am doing the review now as to when purchased as it was just another plastic sheet back then is to tell how durable and stable it is. Its been on the guitar now for several years with no signs of warping, separation, or fading.

I needed a pickguard for my Loar LH-700VS which is based on the 1920s Gibson L5 archtop guitar. Online vendors wanted between $90 and $200. I decided to make my own using the Dopro pickguard material. The sheet is large enough to make 5 or 6 pickguards. I found a picture of a vintage Gibson L5 pickguard, used the image to create a template for my new pickguard. I did the basic cutting with an electric jig saw, used files and sand paper on a sanding block to do the final shaping. I am very pleased with the final result.

Great material for making replacement pick guards for guitars or any decorative cover plates. Note that this it's not a self adhesive decal and it is permanently bonded to a stiff plastic sheet that is about 1/16” thick. They do sell a separate sheet that is actually a self adhesive decal but this is not it. You will need a saw or a CNC cutter to cut shapes from this product. I decided to keep this to use as a protective cover on my work surface for doing repairs.

I really like the finish on this. The tortoise shell is very authentic looking and the weight of the material is exactly what it should be. I was able to fashion a custom Picard for a customer and they were thrilled.
