Work greats
Update: Sept 2024 Really sucks that I have to update this post but this is the reality. So I read a lot of reviews about the On and off switch not working and well mine just stopped working. I opened up the panel to see if I can fix it but I couldn’t. This lamp cost over $100 and it only lasted a couple months, that’s a waste. The company needs to do better. Sucks that it broke right before it starts to get cold. Disappointed in this purchase. Waste of money. Jan 2024 I bought this lamp as a space heater for inside my garage while I’m working out during the winter and it does the trick. I like to use it during cardio too to get that sauna feel. Read a lot of reviews about having issues with the power switch. I have not had this experience. Great purchase and produces a lot of heat.

Holy Moly!
I have plenty of 1500 watt space heaters and none of them put out this amount of heat. I travel a lot and got tired of coming home to a freezing house that takes my central heating unit all day to get up to temperature. In the past I would put a space heater in each of the rooms to heat the house faster. Some of the 1500 watt space heaters I had the fans were getting loud and noisy, so I purchased this unit to replace them. I don't know how this unit manages to radiate heat so well but it really puts the heat out. The heat disburses in a nice even pattern and there are no "hot spots" to worry about. Instead of rotating a space heater to keep my feet warm for a few minutes and then changing to keep myself or the rest of the room warm, this unit heats up the whole room fast and evenly. I use to set the other heaters fairly close but this unit is 8 - 10 feet away and feels very warm all around. I plug the unit into a thermostat controlled electrical outlet. It does not have an automatic shut off and no high/low adjustment. The exterior of the unit gets no warmer that a standard space heater. Since it works so well from much further away, I can place it nowhere near anything flammable such as furniture or blankets, I think it's safer than most space heaters. I don't know why some suggest it's not for indoor use. Very pleased with the heavy duty tripod and heater function.

Buy it if you want your nerves to be heated!
Buy it if you want your nerves to be heated! One star. Because zero stars is not an option, and this heater already taken enough from me. I bought this thing to heat a space. It mostly heated my patience until it evaporated. It “worked” for about five minutes, then it started acting like it was on a union break. Click. Nothing. Random life signs. Nothing again. We never got a real chance to enjoy it. Customer service turned the “simple fix” into a photo shoot. They wanted: • Photos of stickers • Photos of wires • Photos of the inside • Proof of purchase • More photos At one point, I felt like I was earning an electrical engineering degree with a minor in photography. By the time we finished sending everything, the only thing that was truly warm was my blood pressure. The heater stayed cold. So did the support path. Lots of back and forth, lots of waiting, and still no reliable heater. If you like your heat: • Consistent • Safe • Not dependent on you playing tech support at home Skip this. I got burned on this purchase, pun fully intended. Save your money, and save your sanity.

OMG. SO MUCH RADIANT HEAT!!
UPDATE #3 February 2025 - I modified the original Heat Storm, which the vendor did not want returned, by removing and physically bypassing the manual on/off switch. I am using a Wi-Fi Power Meross on/off Switch to control power to the Heat Storm. I have also mounted it inside of an outside Gazebo and added a thermal conductive oscillating fan to distribute the heat inside the enclosed 10'x13' gazebo. I have also experienced that the CRT (continuous run time) for the Heat Storm can be measured in weeks, not hours or days. So far it has maintained the temperature above freezing, inside the enclosed gazebo, by running continuously for over a month now. UPDATE #2 November 2024 - After the vendor replaced the switch four consecutive times (The wire contacts in the switch would literally melt after a day or two of continuous usage), The vendor finally replaced the entire heater with an updated model, which has a remote to turn on and off. The new design works perfectly. I have found that the CRT (continuous run time) of the Heat Storm is simply amazing. It runs constantly for days at a time without overheating either the cord, plug heater or the internal switch relay for the wireless on/off. So I am updating the rating to a Four Star. UPDATE#1: 2024 The on/off switch in this heater are utter garbage! The Power switch is unable to handle the power draw and MELTS !!! This is a fire hazard!!! I reached out to the manufacturer and they readily replaced the switch, which I had to swap out the defective switch. The replacement switch did not even last two weeks before failing. They have offered another replacement switch again, but I wanted a refund. I was told that I would have to go through Amazon but the return policy states that it must be returned in the original packaging!! That is long gone. So I am SOL. I was persistent and eventually the vendor resolved the problem. See update#2 Original: This is an amazing area heater. It turns on and boom WHAM you have heat! Using it in a 13'x10' room 6' up, pointing down and it is almost too much. A thermostat would be helpful. But ... Damn this is a nice heater.

Perfect patio heater for transitional weather
Bought this to extend porch time on our screened porch now that mornings and evenings are getting nippy. After studying the video, I thought I could put this together myself, but the instructions were cryptic and the kit came with many screws of various lengths, so I felt confused. (Were they all used? Where?) Ended up hiring a handyman who assembled it in about 10 minutes (but had a handful of screws left over he didn't use). Be that as it may, the tripod heater is very sturdy and we like the adjustable height. The long cord means we can position it close or far from our club chairs, as our needs change. The amount of heat is perfect for taking the chill off when I sit outside on a cool morning (50s today) with a light blanket on my lap and a cup of coffee. This heater will not heat up an open porch or patio, but the infrared heat aimed at a chair or chairs will comfortably warm the people sitting in the chairs. The unit seems to be high quality and is doing exactly what I hoped it would do. You may be handier assembling stuff than we are and if so, you'll have it up and running in 10 minutes. To me, it was worth it to get the handyman in to put it together. We love the heater and will get tons of use out of it this fall. Especially important for those of us isolating or quarantining at home who need to make their limited outdoor spaces as usable as possible.

Good heater, bad switch on more than one.
The heater is great, but the switch stopped working almost immediately, unplugging and replugging to use is inconvenient, not to mention I turned it off thinking it was off, went in to shower and heard dogs barking incessantly at deck door, looked out and it was on again. I turned it off thinking I just maybe didn’t the first time, then went back in. Dogs started barking again and I seen it was on again. They replaced it with a second one, but the same thing happened. Now I don’t know what to do or if there is a replacement switch that would work. Seems it has been a problem for a few others and they should at least offer a new switch for free if it’s too late to return.

Almost instant heat, easy on & off, no fumes.
We’re smokers (I know, ick) & live in northern Michigan. We bought this to use on the rear screened in porch (we don’t smoke in our house - again, ick). But, that aside, this heater works perfectly for what we needed. It’s sturdy, was easily put together, provides plenty of warmth for what we need, and it does so rather quickly which is also what we were looking for. Much easier and quicker than a propane unit and no fumes. Perfect. Update: we used this heater all winter last season with no problems and it functioned exactly as we hoped it would. Toasty warm? Well, no. But it sure did cut the chill down to a manageable level on those 20 degree nights. Mind you it was outdoors on a screened porch and we were able to sit comfortably without hat and gloves. This year, after about a month of use, the on/off switch on this unit ceased to work, similar to other reports I see here. I sent customer support an email and not only did they immediately reply, but they sent me 2 replacement switches which I received within a week. This is not a big deal breaker. It’s a simple switch and extremely easy to swap out. You can find them here on Amazon for like 10 dollars for a pack of 6. They’re not expensive, usually means prone to breakage, so buy a couple - it’s no big deal. Heater itself still works great! Downgrading review. Heater still “works” great - but it eats switches like no body’s business. After 2 years and 3 multi packs of switches I finally just gutted out that box on the rear of the heater and hard wired the entire operation. I know, no warranty, but I’m well beyond that now. I put it on a remote control plug/extension cord (Amazon). Works much better. The switches you can find that fit this thing are all cheap, lousy crap from china.

Great for heating up small to mid sized rooms!
Bought it for Indoor Pest Control (bed bugs), of all things. We needed to heat the rooms up to above 130°F for several hours and did not want to worry about noxious gasses as with propane heaters. These work perfect. One alone will heat a 15'x15' room to about 150°F within an hour or two, maybe more. That's where my thermostat capped out. Their only drawback was understandably, power consumption. Two units running on the same breaker line did not last long. But my home is antiquated and they are pretty sizable heaters. More of a note than a drawback. The weakest part of its design is the mounting plate to the tripod design. It feels rather flimsy and could break if dropped or knocked over. Just be careful about flammable items. They put out excellent heat and the direct infrared design heats everything it graces that beautiful orange glow with.

Works Well - Easy Assembly
We use this heater on an outdoor, screened-in porch and it has helped us to extend our outdoor season. Gives off lots of heat making it very warm for those up close to it, with less intensity the further you move away from it. Sitting 10 feet away on a cool Fall day (10C-12C) was quite comfortable. Any cooler and you'll want to move closer to it. Put it together in a few minutes, adjusted the height and angle, and plugged it. Voila!

Does what it says!
It definitely gives off great heat and was relatively easy to set up. I'm not allowed propane on my balcony so this was a good fix to help extend my outdoor time during covid. Whatever isn't in its radius doors still stay cold though so keep that in mind. I wish it had an auto off but the stand is sturdier m I expected and I follow all safety precautions and bought a little fire extinguisher just to be on the safe side.

Great little heater!
Just what I was looking for to heat out front porch. Easy to set up and sturdy enough - that was not afraid of a stiff wind. Great purchase and will keep us warm into early December I hope!

Short life span
Bought this item to supply some heat in the garage. Worked well, until is stopped working in 5 months. Even on sale, it is an expensive proposition for 5 months of use. I doubt a tradesman would be happy with this performance.
