Mens Trilby Fedora Hats Wool Gatsby Hat Felt Manhattan Women Costume Outfit Halloween Christmas Decorations

First off the hat looked like a porkpie style hat when I opened the bag (yes a shipping envelope/padded bag and not a box ) but the felt was so thin it popped right into shape with no steaming needed . Yes the felt is thin but not so much it takes away from the overall value of the hat to me. Instead it feels like Marino vs regular sheep wool although I'd be surprised to find it really is Marino .I was concerned it might be too small but it actually is about 1/2 size too large for my 7 3/8 head. An easy fix with the included draw string or a foam pad made for hats will work just as well .I really really like the outer band color , width , and , material . It's dressed down like regular people used to wear everyday back in the day.The brim on mine was actually 2" at the front and not the 1 7/10" advertised making it a more mid width than short brim, again less dressy and for those of us with more round faces and broad shoulders it doesn't exaggerate the roundness the way a shorter brim does . Still the Trilby styling without needing thin shoulders for it to look right . Someone under 65" tall might find the brim too wide for looks. The thinness of the felt also makes the brim more flexible than thicker felt so if you want it flatter it'll steam shape faster .A few colored goose feathers complete the look I was going for to make it my new work hat. A little shellac on the feathers made them keep their shape but they can also be quickly and easily taken off as desired . Sliding behind the band was no problem but the band is not going to fall off on is own either.The stitching and inner band material are both good quality but nothing that says future heirloom .If you're looking for a hat to hand down to your grandkids this is not the one but for everyday use to me it was an excellent value .Edit ; I purchased a "hemp gray" one and it is a bit darker than the description photo and a little darker than my included photo . It's closer to slate gray than light gray . Same great construction , fit , and comfort as the black I own but a dressier color .

At age 67, I thought I looked a little tacky in a baseball cap. I always liked the way my dad and grandparents looked wearing fedoras in old photos. Sadly, I hardly see anyone else wearing them today except some young movie stars. So, I figured I want one anyway. First got a traditional fedora, that I thought looked Ok, but not great. My wife thought I looked like a Rabbi. Then I saw this Trilby, for less than half what I paid for the other hat. I put it on and have to admit, I look pretty darn good in it. My wife agrees, and she seldom compliments me on my clothing choices. My head measures 23 and the large was a bit big, but foam sizers did the trick with no problem. Love this hat!

The hat arrived early yesterday evening. It was a tad small, so I stretched and steamed it overnight, and it is now a perfect fit. I also steamed the brim in the real so it lays a little flatter, with a nice flatish curve on each side. This is very substantial felt hat. It is actually much nicer than I thought it would be, which is always good when a person buys over the internet. Not much else to say. I did see some reviews that complained about the hat getting bent up in shipment. Well, mine did as well, but it was a piece of cake to get it back in shape the steaming I was going to do anyway. Yes, I like this hat.

Not impressed with this hat at all. I ordered this one and another, little more expensive hat and the quality and delivery of this hat was sub par at best. It was delivered rolled up in a soft envelope and is thick and not of nice material versu the other hat I ordered, came boxed and was 2x to 3x the quality. If you want cheap...order this hat. It should keep your head warm tho. That’s why I gave it 2 stars.

My husband loved this hat for a recent 1920s party. The quality was very good for the price. It looks like a legit hat, not a costume cheapo thing. His only complaint is that it was just a little small. I had measured the inside of one of his good hats and thought this would fit him at 23" ish. It did, but just another 1/2" would have improved it. That's not so much the hat's fault. When you have a melon head, inexpensive hats are hard to come by. I would recommend it but beware if you have a melon head...measure first to be sure.

We used this for a birthday party with a Great Gatsby theme. Everyone loved it and it looked great. Surprised it didn't come in a box, rather a bag. However it popped right back into place. My son may even wear it for other things he said.

Loved this hat! Size was perfect! Not costume quality, real hat quality! Made the roaring 20's themed wedding comfortable.

It’s a nice hat that’s well made, I do have some problems with it though. It’s so thin and light, I worry I might tear it every time I put it on or take it off. It comes with a folded ribbon around it, but there a so many wrinkles, I need to spend a hour ironing and maybe even starching, before it’s worn.
