No longer do I need to purchase that cellulose loaded shredded cheese in a bag. I always wondered why shredded cheese in a bag was so different than freshly shredded. I learned it was because of cellulose. Cellulose is used to coat the shredded cheese in order to keep the cheese from sticking to each other. And when the cheese is of poorer quality it gets worse. This little addition to our kitchen has saved the need to purchase prepackaged cheese in general including sliced. The family loves the ease of do it yourself shredded and sliced cheese. And it might well save your health. It is pretty easy to clean and assemble. Suctions is not the greatest, but this tool has its benefits.

I've purchase so many cheese graters in the past few years that I've lost count. The best (or so I thought) was the IKEA hand-held grater, but the large hole barrel kept breaking and I was limited to fine-grated cheese. Trying to clamp down on the cheese also cramped my hand. The Papahuman grater breezes through cheeses in a flash and doesn't cause hand cramps like the hand-held models. For softer cheeses like cheddar I would recommend tapping out the barrel occasionally because otherwise the cheese can become compacted and start to mush together, but that's a minor issue compared to the overall ease of use. This thing grates carrots like you wouldn't believe too. It's so effortless! I haven't tried the slicing barrel but the graters have won me over completely.

Easy to use, grates all kinds of cheeses well. I find if before the cheese goes down the cylinder and gets stuck, you can just flip the cheese in the opposite direction and problem averted. Make sure to stop and empty cylinder of cheese before it poles up and gets stuck in the grater cylinder lol. I do like the pencil sharpener motion, adds a little fun and you don't have to have an outlet anywhere near by

PRO - Good product...easy assembly...works good...base has a strong hold...easy to clean...locking to countertop was easy and works good.CON - I was hoping that it came with a "fine" cutting blade for grating romano cheese up. The blade it came with works good but I need a blade to cut finer grade of cheese.

This did a good job shredding cheddar cheese and was easy to clean. When I was using it, the drum seemed to move around a little bit. The drums are made of stainless steel but the base is plastic. It felt as if there was some occasional binding. I have only used it for cheese so far.

What I like the most is that it’s easy to assemble, clean and use. It locks in to the counter. Don’t forget to unlock when taking apart. Easy to clean right after use. When food dries it’s hard to get off.The dislike is that the nozzle is not long enough to fall in a plat or bowl. I grated cheese and got a little messy. I like this better than my electric grater. Would recommend

Grips well to counter. Slices harder vegetables well but does not slice or shred onions. When trying to shred an onion it just crushed it. otherwise it is easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning.

This shredder was very simple to use, three different drum blades that are dishwasher safe. The suction was much stronger than I expected as well. I shredded 5 pounds of Parmesan cheese in under 2 minutes and the cheese emptied right into a bowl so there was very little clean up!! I’m very glad I made this purchase.
