It works.
My Pioneer remote died after 15 months of use. Apparently, Pioneer does not sell replacement remotes that I could find. I did find used ones on Ebay and one wanted $80 for it. I came across this and took a chance. After a few months it has operated as it should. Also uses 4 batteries rather than the 2 on the OEM remote.
