Great for cleaning. But not for shine.
It has really helped me clean the thick wood in my 1930s house. The house has great wood walls, but there was a layer of something that darkened the wood. Not dirt and not the natural oxidation. But I'm assuming from the old boiler system. NOTHING would get this off. I tried this as a cleaner and it does clean. Rightfully it took a lot of the product, and it doesn't shine. But I have tried so many other products with no result. Only 4/5 because there wasn't enough shine to the wood. I had to use pledge to bring out the shine.

Amazon shouldn't be associated in any way
See, this is typical price structuring from these direct response retailers. The items themselves are priced reasonably, but the "shipping and handling" is where most of the money is made. That's why many direct response ads make a big deal out of calling now so you can get an extra item for free . . . pay only shipping and handling . . . However you slice it, 15.95 for shipping and handling is just wrong. These companies need to take a different tack by being more clear, and more fair, with their customers.

I have proof this product is AMAZING!
I have not purchased this item off of Amazon but I am sitting here using the product right now. I looked on Amazon to see if they had it because I'm running low. I think that the low remarks and the statements of it doesn't work and it's a waste of money is because folks don't know how to use it. So here is my experience. I'm working on my great grandfathers high chair that my great great grandfather made. The process is oh so slow but it is working. You have to work in a small space and you have to work slowly. In the case of my project there are many many years of build up dirt and yuck on it so it is going to take a long time. You can not just spray it on and wipe it off and see magic happen. You have to spray it on let it sit a few and then with light pressure work in a small area. It is very time consuming but it is not destroying the wood, hand carving or anything. I love this product! After years of woodworking this product is a dream come true for hubby and I. This project as you can imagine is first an antique and second very near and dear to my heart. We tried several other things because we could not locate the Amish Milk, nothing was working. Then we found the milk and this is the slow but sure process that I'm being able to make with it. I'm not sure that the pictures are real clear, I had son hold a light blue sheet in the background hoping that would lighten the picture more to bring the image out better. For what it matters I'm not the type of person who will get on here and blow smoke, if I didn't like the product I would have no issue in siding with you all and also wanting my money back for the one that didn't work. However, when I know a product works and works as well as this one does I'll defend it to the death. Just spray it on, let it soak a few minutes, rub evenly light pressure, work in a small area, take your time and you too will see results. Good luck. I would be no where on getting this high chair cleaned up for my daddy (I'm 48 yrs young) without Amish Milk.

Here is another - I wish there was a Zero star - product
I am so thankful I came to amazon to check on this product. I have several antiques and much wood furniture, so I see the ads and wonder, so taken in by the Amish in the name that I almost ordered it. But out of the 'seen on tv' products I have purchased (3, ok I admit, I'm a slow learner) - I've never had one that came even close to what it 'claims' to do. I looked to review it. I have given up on Internet reviews - most especially on diet products - as they seem to be written by the manufacturer. Now I come to amazon - I can get both the good and the bad and decide if I want to purchase that product. OTC for wood would be Scotts Liquid Gold (do not purchase any product in spray form) and Formbys (more expensive, harder to find) has a kit with a furniture cleaner and other protective products (the one I purchased had 3 bottles and pads). I should know that 'if it sounds too good to be true (and cheap) - it's NOT.'

FANTASTIC product
I am horrified to see dishonest consumers posting reviews of a product they did not buy on Amazon and didn't even use. This product is amazing. I purchased it, paid only for the product, and have been using it around my home for several weeks. The results are absolutely incredible. I have several pieces of furniture that are over 100 years old, and this product made them clean and beautiful.Don't be swayed by people complaining about the customer service they encountered and not the products --- which is the purpose of a review.

I would not recommend to anyone
This product did not work for me. I could not tell a difference after using the product. It did not bring my furniture back to life as written on the box. It also did not remove dirt from my cabinets as suggested on the box. I would not recommend to anyone.

A Good Look....
I like this product. Many have complained that it doesn't shine. Well, if you want a shine then go for wax and its attendant buildup.... I find that this gives a good look to your wood - doesn't shine- shine but it's a good, natural, clean finish with a rich look. It removed glass rings which is a plus plus. I've used many products in the past that did absolutely nothing for water rings on wood surfaces. This did the trick.Again I used this on all my wood furnishings and I'm pleased with the result. The surfaces look good and rich. But there's no eye strain sparkle. I want a product that leaves the wood looking good and this product does that.

Waste of Money
I am embarrased to say that I was sucked in by the sterotypical idea that the Amish always have superior products. This company has exploited that idea to their maximum advantage. This furniture polish is no different than any other, in fact it may actually be worse. It is thick and sticky and I didn't see any difference in my furniture at all. I called to request a return and of course I can receive a refund except for the shipping charges which were actually more than the product itself. What was I thinking?!!!
