This is like an education lesson plan with simple specific activities. The downside is that they are not going to lead to deep insight.

I am school based social worker and love this book! I use assessments from this book that have been very successful. I highly recommend it.

I wouldn't expect anything less from the goddess of play therapy, Paris Goodyear-Brown. As a School Social Worker, especially with my elementary students, I am often in need of finding simple, affordable, yet powerful and engaging activities to do with the children. The manual is sectioned off by need so it is a quick and easy reference if you are looking for say, "Anger Management" activities for a group and then "Social Skills" for another. Any practitioner who works with young children should have this one in their inventory.

As a play therapist, it can be challenging to come up with new ideas to help clients. This is a fabulous tool, with innovative ideas that I have seen facilitate therapeutic change.
