Lucky 8 (aid) cocktail barware tool is a portable bartender tool comprises of 8 devices - Muddler, Knife, Reamer, Stirrer, Strainer, Jigger, Corkscrew, Bottle Opener. #1 – Muddler: mash ingredients - herbs, fruit, sugar, and spices in the glass bottom to release their flavors and allow them to seep into beverages. Cocktails that require the use of a muddler include: Mojito made with light rum. Caipirinha made with cachaça. #2 – Reamer: used to ream the fruit while collecting the juice into a separate bowl - lemons, limes and oranges. The three-dimensional, star-shaped blade crushes the fruit and extracts the juice. For beginners, the shorter handled version is recommended as it gets the job done and stores easily. #3 – Stirrer: mix or blend mixtures thoroughly. Can be expanded up to 6 inches to accommodate drink size #4 – Strainer: acts as a sieve whereby it is placed over the mouth of the glass or shaker in which the beverage was prepared to allow only liquids to pass as the beverage is poured in. #5 – Knife (4-inch blade): bartender's best friend; first in command when comes to cocktail hour - used to cut swaths of zest for twisting over cocktails, lime wheels and citrus wedges, apple or pear slices to perch on the rim of a glass, to trim leaves off berries for use in syrups and homemade cordials, and to trim herbs and prep savory garnishes for Bloody Mary. #6 - Bottle Opener: use to open either bottled beer or wine bottles. Holding the bottle firmly with one hand, position the edge of the opener against the corrugated edge of the cap. Pull the metal cap away from the bottle and let the cap fall off. #7 – Corkscrew: don’t let a simple cork stand between you and a bottle of wine. Screw metal spiral into the bottle's cork and pull it outwards. #8 – Jigger: comes in two cone-sized compartments for exact measurements in cocktails concoction – 1 oz & 0.5 oz

Not exactly pocket sized
Thought this would be a cool gift- and it is, however I’ll be returning as i was under the impression this would actually be pocket knife sized. Turns out this tool is quite heavy and large- probably about a foot long when closed completely, and 4” at its widest point (the jigger) so not exactly something you can carry around non discretely in your pocket day to day. It’s also quite weighty, so may be a handy tool for you home bar, but using in any sort of professional manner id expect the weight to tire your hand and wrist quite quickly.Still, a nice, well made, sturdy tool, just not suitable for the purpose I’d intended so instead of gifting, this ones going back. If buying for s home bar though, might be a useful item to have around!
