CS-204 Classic Samurai Large Short Handled Heavy Duty Double Edge Safety Razor with 10 Count Dorco Double Edge Razor Blades

This is a great little razor. The finish is high quality. It is a heavy razor with a short large diameter handle. The handle has heavy knurling which makes it very easy to control while shaving. The weight of the razor also helps you to control it as well. The length of the entire razor is about 3 inches which makes it very compact. The razor has no markings on it except a logo on the cap. It does not say where it is made but I found out it is made in China. All in all I love the razor and can find no fault with it. It might become my favorite razor in my collection. I highly recommend it.

The finish and blade alignment had no issues except. Their was a noticeable imperfection on the bottom plate on the razor. Manufacturing issue on the particular razor itself. Large jagged large indentation on the bottom plate of razor. Unable to use it. Cannot speak about the performance of the razor. Had to return it due this large defect. Disappointed because I like the overall razor. Absolutely no issue with seller !

This is my first DE razor and it works good for me. Its a short and very heavy razor. Finish seems to be okay for a 20 dollar razor with no flaking issues on mine. Cannot see it in picture but it has a samurai and classic samurai laser etched in top.

I don't know how this razor has the ratings that it does seeing that the chrome is of low quality and looks like it will be flaking off in the near future. The blade alignment is terrible so much so that a shave is very bothersome unlike any de razor that I have used. On most low end razors you can center the blade to even out the blade exposure but it is not possible to do so with this particular razor.

The finish on this razor is very poor quality. There are bubbles in the chrome plastic covering this razor and is flaking off coming right out of the box. The blade alignment/replacement is very troublesome and is relatively time consuming comparing to other 3 piece razors. One should consider a twist to open (butterfly) design vs a 3 piece design when purchasing a DE razor. However the issue that bothered me the most is the uneven blade gap and exposure on each side. One side of the blade is significantly more aggressive than the other side. The blade gap and angle is different on each side. You have to readjust your razor angle every single time when you flip the razor to shave with the clean side. This will slow down your shave and is not an ideal razor for a beginner to start with. The Dorco blades that came with the razor is more on the dull side of the sharpness scale. Anyone interested in a heavy, short and fat handle safety razor should look into Maggard models MR3 and MR8. I did receive the product on time.

I used to shave with Merkur Safety Razor .I just bought Classic Samurai Safety RazorI compared each other and this Classic Samurai Quality and design is much better than Merkur BrandI m very happy with safety razor .

the handle screwed into the head at an angle. either it was drilled at cockeyed angle or it was bent during manufacturing or transport.it is a good weight, though, and the razor itself is neither aggressive or a slouch. the finish and the weight are superb and the razors that come with it are satisfactory.i feel like the shortcomings of the razor that i received are unique to my razor and that other ones would not be defective in the same way.i have used it to shave my face, my head, my pits, my legs, and my nether regions (including the valley of the winds). i adjust for the bent razor head, but still knicked myself a few times. im keeping the razor, though i considered returning it.
