Great balance stones, but not ideal for teaching colors
We bought these hoping they would help our 2-year-old practice both balance and color names. They've been great for balance and open-ended play, but not so great for learning colors. There are several shades that are very similar, so they don't match the simple color names toddlers are usually learning (like red, blue, green, and yellow). If your goal is teaching colors, I'd probably choose something with fewer, more distinct colors. That said, they've been a great toy. My son loves the weight and texture of the stones. He lines them up into paths, flips them all over, stacks them, sorts them, and of course enjoys walking across them. The manufacturer warns that they can be slippery on hardwood floors, and I found that to be true. On carpet and textured tile, they've worked well for us. We also have a dog who considers himself my son's partner in crime and likes to chew toddler toys. A few chunks have been bitten out of these, but they've held up surprisingly well considering the abuse. If you're looking for balance stones or an obstacle course for a toddler, I'd recommend them. Just don't expect them to double as an ideal color-learning toy.

Great toy!
Our 8, 6, and 2 year olds all have a blast with these! Lots of creative play options! Be careful when they come out of the box, as they were incredibly slippery, and left a slippery residue on our wood floor.

Highly recommended
My kids LOVE these! Although they slide on my hardwood floors, they stay in place well when used on the carpet or a large rug, even when the adults run across them (because yes, this mom tested them out!) Hours of fun playing Lava monster with the kids. Also, they are super easy to clean, just wipe off with a little soapy water or disinfectant wipe.

Great for active play! Need to be cleaned first though!!
These are great for my girls. I got them for my 5yo as a birthday gift. My 15 month old also loves them they've been playing with these all day!! My only complaint is whatever coating they put on these. They were kindof slick with a slight greasy feeling. We had them on the wood floor for a short time and I almost slipped! I didn't realize yet what caused it and was trying to find out why my floor was suddenly so slippery. Shortly after, my 5yo was walking through and slipped and hit her head on the floor!!! I had to mop to get the greasy feeling off the floor. We finally figured out these stones were the cause of it. Will have to wipe these down with vinegar or even just warm water or something to get that coating off. Otherwise, this is a great product! I would recommend wiping them down before use though..

So Much Fun!
I got these Nat Geo Stepping Stones for my 3 y/o grandson and he couldn't be happier! These colorful stones have turned playtime into an exciting adventure. The foam material is soft and safe and he loves jumping from stone to stone (trying not to fall into the hot lava). My DIL is a physical therapist and said it encourages kids to be active while improving their balance and coordination. They are lightweight and easy to store, which is a bonus. Highly recommend them to any parent (or grandparent) looking for a great way to engage little ones.

Awesome! Gift anyone can enjoy!
These are SO cool.cwe bought these and “Santa” gave them to the kids as a shared gift and my husband and I love to jump in on the fun when the kids are playing with them. Sadly our youngest Saint Bernard enjoyed the texture too much as well (RIP blue stone and half of pink stone, ugh) but we just love these, they’re an awesome “active” toy and much easier to stack up than when the kids steal pillows for “the floor is lava” very bright and vivid colors, if they weren’t 50.00 I’d seriously buy enough for a “rock” garden inside, they are awesome. Would be a perfect gift for any age/gender and we have a few families that do joint parties for siblings and this is a great gift that multiple siblings can enjoy

Home daycare review, They do slip on carpet and wood,
I purchased these for my home daycare, ages 0 to 5. I purchased in 2021, it’s the end of 2024 and I still have them. Only one of them has a bite taken out of it by a toddler. So they are definitely durable. I have not used them outside, however. I don’t remember what I paid for them, I hope it wasn’t the $50 that it is now I would be extremely upset. worth about half that I’d say. the color is vibrant, they are soft, but the kids cannot put these on the floor and jump from one to the other, because they 100% slip and slide all over the place on the vinyl flooring, carpet and wood. Most days the kids are just tossing them around or using them for some other kind of pretend play. Actually, based on other reviews, I should probably consider putting them outside, but it would be another thing to pick up off the grass. Wait for these to be on sale, $50 is a hard no. If I could go back, I probably wouldn’t have purchased them at all. They are also about the size of a large adult hand, I definitely thought they would be bigger.

great for balance exercise for seniors, as well as children!
I purchased these as a gift for my grandchildren's "obstacle course." They are well made and I think they will hold up very well. More importantly, I discovered that they are fabulous for seniors, who are having balance problems! They would be a great addition to any therapy. As a former yoga instructor, I am considering buying these for myself!

Buena compra
Me llevo a tiempo, bien sellado, no estaba maltratado, me encanta, ciertamente como lo comentan antes se siente un poco resbaladizo el material, si embargo es una buena herramienta para desarrollar el equilibrio en los peques de una manera lúdica.
