Collars like these are meant for pets with long necks (like our retired racing greyhound). The red is rich, bright, and bold, and the leather is very soft. I really wish it would have worked out!I took several measurements of my nine year old greyhound’s neck and ordered a medium for him, but it was surprisingly too big for him. Adding another hole would have solved the length issue, but it was too close to the tapered part of the collar and it would have looked a little “off”. There’s undoubtedly another dog owner that will find the medium to be a perfect fit for their four-legged family member, so I returned this unit in favor of a smaller size.The stitching is excellent and the material is top notch. Pick a color, select the appropriate size, and place your order. You won’t be disappointed, provided you receive the correct size! It’s easily possible that I received a large, but I would definitely still recommend this item because of the overall workmanship and quality materials.

I bought two of these for my little dogs who have a tendency to pull on the leash. I've tried a variety of harnesses and collars but this was the solution. I know it's intended for dogs with slim necks like greyhounds etc.but these work nicely because the wideness allows for the neck to be protected if the dogs pulls. A trainer recommended that I purchase a wide collar but the selection is scant unless you're looking for a collar for a bigger dog. She and my vet were very impressed with this collar. It's also really well made. They're stiff at first but they get really soft after being used for a while. Highly recommend if you're trying to protect the neck area from pulling and choking.

This is a beautifully made collar to put on your best buddy. It looks great, and is comfortable for the dog during walks.

My 1 year old still pulls while walking, he has a long neck normal collar seem to cause him to choke. This collar has helped that issue.

I finally found the perfect Whippet collar! No more skinny little wimpy collars or wide ones that look marginally better but are way to big for a Whippet. The color is more intense than I expected from the photos on Amazon and I love it. A beautiful deep pink, not pale or faded looking like some pinks are. The quality of the leather is nice and the stitching is perfect. My sweet little Piper puppy girl looks good in it! The hardware is strong and quality metal. Looks like this will last for years. I'm delighted!

I got this to replace the prong collar I was having to use to give my dog enough feedback for leash manners. I'd say it works better than the prong collar did. And it's well made and looks great.

Used size chart provided but collar was too small.Returned, could not find another one. Sad it did mot work out, it looks nice
