SP Platinum Volleyball Set

Arrived F-A-S-T, and set-up took about 1 hour with just me, and 10 minutes of help from a friend who helped hold the poles in place while I set the guy ropes. Strong, straight, good-looking set. Includes decent volleyball (partially deflated - our set's air pump lacked the needle, but I had a spare) and the packing bags (one zippered and embroidered) were a really nice touch! In current use by our church youth program. I expect it will last this season, and maybe 1 or 2 more. A lot of fun for the money.UPDATE: After a couple of weeks of play, the plastic pole connecting brackets have been breaking, and I have had to replace with a more durable "homemade" solution. Kids just love to hang on volleyball nets, and this one just won't take that kind of abuse.

The set looked nice and sturdy when we first received it. However the set up is not quite as easy as others have posted and we are pretty handy. The ropes are so cheap they frayed upon set up and are only hanging by a thread. We were never able to get the net to stop drooping in the middle. I have called Sportcraft themselves to get a replacement net or rope but have not been able to speak to anyone. I have literally waited on hold for over 2 hours on 4 seperate occasions. (I left the phone on speaker waiting for someone to answer while working on other projects) The message directs you to their website that does not exist. I really don't get it and am VERY disappointed in the SportCraft company and will not purchase another Sportcraft item ever again. The volleyball net has potential to be great but the quality of the supplies to set it up were not very good and the poor customer service makes it even worse. I wouuld not purchase this item again knowing what I know now!

I was in the market for a volleyball set for our family to have fun in the backyard. I didn't want anything cheap that wouldn't last very long, but at the same time didn't want to shell out a bunch of money for a pro set. So, when I came across this set on sale (75% off), I snatched it up. Guess I should have payed attention to how long the net is - takes up most of our backyard, heh heh. The only reason for a 4 star rating is that the instructions didn't completely line up with how the holes in the pole were, but common sense gets the job done. Also, the ground stakes used to stand the poles up weren't deep enough, we had to wind up driving the poles into the ground. Other than that, this is a great set that I feel we'll be able to enjoy for many years to come!

A very impressive volleyball set. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy this was to assemble and the sturdiness of the poles. I've had other sets that were impossible to properly attach the net to the poles. Not with this one, the net attaches easily and we were playing in no time. It will be great for family outings or intense competitive matches. The poles adjust to different heights so pretty much anyone can play. Pretty cool that you can keep score with their on net score keeping system. Why hadn't anyone thought of that sooner. The included volleyball isn't of professional grade, but it will be perfect for my needs. Besides, you can always just go buy a different volleyball if you want. Glad I bought this set. I see it lasting for a long time.

A great VB set. We took it to the park over the weekend and we were amazed at how easy it was to set up and take down. The poles are sturdy, and the net retains it's tension even after the ball is spiked into it. The ball is great and has a softer feel than other "regulation" balls. Overall, great product!

I read the reviews on this item before placing my final order and I was kinda caught in the middle. I was really convinced to order this product because of the 2" steel poles. I anxiously waited for my set to arrive and it finally did (on time). I was please from packaging to final product. Everything was included and nothing damaged. Eventhough the directions were a little vague for me and my 12 year daughter, once my husband stepped in, everything fell into place. Because of rainy weather, we have not had the opportunity to get outside for final setup and enjoy, but I know everything will go just as great as it has thus far. I would most definitely order from this seller again and the price was unbeatable.

I bought this at the beginning of summer to use during some of our neighborhood gatherings of both kids and adults. We set this up and ended up using it a lot more then I thought we would. It was easy to put together and has held up during our robust bouts of kids versus adults - the kids usually win. Anyway, we've had a lot of fun with it and am glad that I bought it. Maybe we'll try badminton next summer.

Don't even think about getting the cheapo $30 sets. Spend a few extra bucks and get this one. The poles alone are worth the price- these things are not going to bend after one game. Purchased this one for my teenage daughter and it performs well. Set up may be a bit tedious but I'm not going to take it down after every use. Ball is bit on the cheap side, but what do you expect. Great storage and travel bags included.
