Heard Shave Secret advertising on a national radio talk show. I was looking to improve my shave & was open to trying diff shaving products so thought I'd give it a try. Some reviewers say it worked for them, some not. If this 'Secret' works for you, that's good. 'Shave Secret' did not work for me even in optimal shaving conditions in the steamy shower. But I think I eventually discovered the Secret.TinY BOTTLE: The Secret bottle of Secret oil is tiny,... only about 19ml. But the tiny dosage of 3-5 drops is a joke & not enough. Getting 2 drops into each palm, then onto the entire face /neck, into the stubble,...no way no matter how much they tell you to water it down. No matter how much re-wetting the face the 'Secret' recomends. I have an average face with average stubble & even with 2x-3x more drops, razor still drags, shave is poor compared to other canned cream I use... Nivea (German mfg bot Walmart & their ingredients are not secret).HARD TO See. Using clear oil (vs a white cream) on my face I found it was hard to see where I had shaved. I like to shave in the shower for optimum shaving conditions with moist steam. But with no bright lights in the shower the Clear 'Secret' oil was difficult to see.EXPENSIVE: While fiddling with my Secret Oil I accidentally found something that actually worked much much better,...& much much cheaper. J&J Baby clear Baby Shampoo,..yea,..I use it on my head because it's gentle & can even get it in eyes with no problem. Washes off clean & gentle on skin. So I put a couple baby shampoo drops in my palms,.. those few drop DID ACTUALLY cover my entire face & best of all, amazed at the close shave... no nicks or burns. Ha! Baby shampoo. Try it first before tossing me into the looney bin. I did a half face comparison of baby oil vs Secret Oil. Baby oil was tough, gentle & cheap. Washes off clean & easy from razor /face. Slight sudsing made the oil visible for accurate shaving. Sweet.EXPENSIVE: Save Secret is very expensive. A small 18.75 ml bottle is $7-15$ depending current prices at Amazon. My baby shampoo costs about $4 & is a huge 591ml size or equivalent to about 32 bottles of Shave Secret. That means by the time I use up my $4 bottle of J&J, 'Shave Secret' users will spend $220-480 on 32 tiny bottles of Secret Oil. That may be the Real Secret....$$$$.BOTT LINE: That's about it. Nobody buys my vote. I don't work for J&J or Nivea. I just try to be fair /honest about my experience which may be the same /diff from other reviews. On balance, there are reasons modern shaving moved away from shaving oils. But if SS works for you then great. For me, I returned it becausethis Secret is overpriced, performs poorly, there are better /cheaper alternatives with as good or much better results. Based on performance & price, Shave Secret Oil is more like an advertising fad. EARNS *1*-Star.

Works as advertised!, I use it everywhere. At home, on the road, and at the gym. It is small so it does not take much room, A dewdrops does the trick!, I recommend it to all who shave as it also leaves the face feeling nice post shave.
