I bought this as a TV antenna mast, not a flag pole. It arrived very nicely packaged for protection. It appears to be high quality. It telescopes smoothly and the latches lock it securely, after adjusting the screws.I was planning to just buy a 20' pipe since actual TV masts and other flag poles are way too expensive. This one was cheap enough that I took a chance and I'm very happy that I did!I went to Home Depot for concrete but let the worker there talk me into using expandable foam instead. That worked but isn't as secure as concrete would be. If I were doing it again, I'd use concrete.

Durability and sturdiness probably not known after one month. With the base plate I ordered, the pole is on a dock in a lake. Looks great, is quite tall and appears to hold up in strong winds. Only issue is with collapsing the sections when wind is very strong. I have had to take down the pole and put it in a vise in order to turn (unlock) the sections for lowering. It seems that once the sections are extended for a few days they don't want to easily be unlocked and lowered.

I bought the 20ft with thumb locks. I wanted to be able to lower it quickly and have the ability to adjust to just the right height. We set the sleeve in quick cement slightly off level after it dried that was on us. I'm not overly bothered and it doesn't effect the pole. It's good quality. It comes with a Allen key to tighten the thumb locks if they loosen. I tighten before hand. Slides nice. Thumb locks are easy to use. The flag isn't the best we upgraded that but still fine to use.

Great flag pole, seems well made. The only reason for the 4 star is because of the carabiner's supplied with the pole. They are not big enough and they are difficult to attach to the flag if the flag eyelet is a little further from the edge. Plus when you use two flag putting two carabiner's through the bottom plastic attachment just doesn't work well. I am going to try and get different ones that will work better. They just don't seem big enough or long enough. Perhaps an oval shape would be better

We actually attached this to the back of our camper! Makes it easy to fine at large camp grounds! Easy to raise up and down. Love it!

The flag pole is an admirable reflection to honor our country's sovereignty and flying the flag in front of your home is an excellent way to demonstrate your patriotism. I assembled the pole without any problems. When it came time to replace the tattered, sun-damaged flag, taking it apart was a different story. The individual "pipes" were connected with a plastic ring which wouldn't budge after following the instructions to twist. I squirted "WD-40" and "Blaster" to try to separate the pipes which appeared to be "welded" together tightly. I messaged the seller and was sent directions on how to separate by "twisting" the ring between the pipes, but still it wouldn't budge. I used vice grips and still no budge. I am moving and wanted to take my flagpole with me. I now have a 20' flagpole laying on it's side in my patio. I may start cutting the pieces with my hacksaw and screwing in the pipes to reattach when I arrive at my new home. I like products that are supposed to work. I shouldn't have to saw the pipes apart. Keep this in mind when purchasing this flagpole to disassemble to move or replace your flag. Other than this problem the American flag flying in front of my house adds curb appeal.
