CAN'T BEAT IT.
Ive had this Robinair pump for 4 months now using it daily. I am a residential, and commercial service tech. It pulls a quick vacuum to about 220 microns. It has never failed me and for the price I would highly recommend.

Works great for the job.
Works great just have one problem, I have this attached to my vacuum chamber and moisture is getting into my oil. What can I use to stop this?

Failed and will not honor any kind of a warranty so now have a boat anchor!
Never worked out of the box. Will not provide any warranty. Amazon said try sending it back to them, but UPS will not take now that it had oil in it. Huge loss of money very disappointed.

Well here is the deal
Arrived double boxed but no padding or space filler between the boxes. Everything looked great until I opened the inner box. when I lifted the vacuum pump out of the box I noticed the service valve cap was busted and rolling around. I thought OK no biggie right I can get another cap. I noticed it also had a container of oil, that is cool too but I had purchased the oil because amazon listed it as frequently bought together. Again OK I will just have extra oil. Then I saw a huge dent pushing the shroud into the fan blade. Does anyone inspect these things. The funny thing is the shipping box looked fine. The factory box is a bit messed up and the foam was kinda tore up but hard to believe it caused the damage. I think the thing was dropped at the factory and place in the box because quitting time was close. Of course I haven't used it yet because I am waiting on a replacement which went well but had to take the damaged one to the UPS store. wish I would have taken a picture of it.

Trusted name and quality
I bought this unit from Amazon Warehouse at a discounted price, while it was listed as used "like new" that wasn't the case. The fans shroud was bent and hitting the cooling fan. It was a quick fix (remove cover, hammer out dent, install cover). Now I have a high quality vacuum pump at the price of a cheap unit. I have used it several times to evacuate AC systems and while it does get warm, it did not shut down after 45 minutes of continuous operation.

Great smoke machine
The pump works well and i was able to pull 29 hg but it does vaporize the vacuum oil more than I am used to seeing. I would say great value for do it yourselfers but not for a professional.

So far works great
Do not run it when it starts to heat up. Most people run it to max pressure for way too long. It will get to 29 pounds of pressure really quick. I use a value to close the line then shut the pump off. Most of the time the line pressure holds long enough for my needs.
