This works great. Set it on the edge with the banding sandwiched in itcandcpress the cutter arm. Nice clean straight edge. Cut 60 edges with it and no decrease in sharpness that I can detect. Worth the cost even if use it occasionally.

The blades interfere with each other and will not cut. There is no adjustment for this defect. Either the cheap plastic lines up or it doesn't. In my case it didn't line up. Totally unusable.

This thing is not worth the price as it wouldn't cut one piece of oak banding I had. The hinge point for the operation handle is not a true metal stud so if there is enough resistance on the cutting blade the plastic would spread and the handle would popout of place making it unusable. I recommend bying a decent pair of flush cut diagonal side cutters than dealing with this mess and they would be more useful in other situations.

As others have noted, this product does not work. Would not cut oak banding. Lever would slip out of its housing when trying to cut. Don't waste your money, an absolute piece of garbage.

There are much better ways to clip edge, banding, such as flat sided clippers designed for this purpose
