Plastic liner on thumb hole has a small tab that apparently sets the blade to meet properly at the point. That tab broke off, so now the blades cross (beyond just aligning) when closed. Scissor still works, but looks awkward.

Save your money / Do NOT buy …
Shears are garbage. Came so right you could barley open and close them. Then if you loosened them up the gap was so big between the blades no hair was being cut.WASTE OF MONEY
