Carol's Daughter Coco Creme is the best product I've used on my wavy/curly hair in a long time. I have received a complement on my hair almost every day since I've started using it. My curls are springy and soft. I put on enough of the product on wet hair to create a caste to ensure it will be "crunchy" when it's dry. Once dry, I scrunch out the curls to remove the caste and I have soft bouncy curls. It's very reasonably priced and it works so well!

This is a thick product and works very well on my 4a curls. It's super soft and moisturizing. I love that this product doesn't flake when I put gel in my hair. The only thing that could be better with this product is the definition. It defines my curls, but t's not as defining as I would like it to be because it's not a gel based product (which is a good thing) So because it's not as defining, you gotta put in a little extra work with your hands to define your curls. But I love this product! I had been looking for a product for a while now to be soft on my curls and I found it. Highly recommend!! I have tried 4 or 5 products in an attempt to find something that works on my short 3C to 4A hair. Nothing worked until this product. It leaves my hair moisturized, soft, and curly. Afer shampooing and blotting, I spray a leave-in conditioner generously and then apply a generous amount of this product working it through my hair with my fingers while coaxing curls as I want and adding a bit more to edges. I always air dry it. The following morning, I spray liberally with Tgin curl refresher , working it through my hair with my fingers, and allowing to air dry. My hair is always soft and moisturized. I will continue to use this wonderful product.

If you have curly hair, especially thick curly hair with grey in it, this product is a must-have. Over the years, I have used numerous products to control the curls, and they are either heavy or stink to high heaven. Hair appliances are of no help. I don't even make it down the hallway, and my hair does whatever it wants to do. I call it curls gone crazy. I wear my hair short and dislike it when the sides get in my face. After I wash and towel dry my locks of insanity, I get a small amount of the product, bend over, and start scrunching from the back to the ends. Then I scrunch the sides towards the back of my head. With what is left on my hands, I scrunch everything else. My hair also feels softer than ever, and one last thing, humidity doesn't undo the do. The product smells amazing, it's not heavy, and it doesn't feel crunchy. Try it once and you will be hooked.

This cream is really thick which is a good thing for my family’s hair and it smells good enough to eat (yes my son asked if he could!) lol. It coats the hair very well and defines your natural hair texture, it also has beneficial ingredients to promote healthy hair which is very important to me. It’s a leave in conditioner so I put it on my sons hair after bath time while it was still wet and his hair looked good and it’s typical itchy but this product prevented that and I’m so happy about that. At this price point and for the quality of this product I will continue to buy it, oh and you don’t need that much because it’s so thick.

Let me start by saying, I do not have 4C hair. I would guess that I am more of a 3C. That being said, I absolutely did NOT like the smell, which from the reviews many did. Carol's Daughter used to have an oil called TUI. Now, THAT was a yummy smell. This smells nothing like what I imagine Coco smells like, maybe Coco watered down with too many other things to have that specific scent, which for me is not good. On a positive, it definitely gave my curls some nice definition, but my hair felt very weighted and greasy. After washing, I normally use a Leave-In Conditioner w/ kinky curly hair Gel for styling and diffuse or air dry my hair. I used this instead of the Gel and my hair just felt like it had a lot of grease on it. So, if you are not a 4C, this may not be the best product for your hair. But on the smell alone, I would not buy it.
