It's bidegradable and should Degrade in a landfill or compost heap within a couple of months.
I purchased it as a gift for my sister after reading an article about it in the Palm Beach Post newspaper. As it is a product of Palm Beach County, where I reside, I sent it to my sister asking her to try it out. She has not done so yet, and it may be a while before I can accurately write a review. Meanwhile, I would encourage others to try it as well, and share their experiences. Since it is a by-product of sugar cane processing, I think it may be a better alternative to conventional paper plates, styrofoam plates or other plates made of various plastics.
