Ginseng needs 70% - 80% shade to grow. If you don't have any woods to plant your ginseng in be sure to use shade cloth or wood slats to provide shade. Wild woods grown ginseng roots bring anywhere from $700 to $1200+ per pound. The high value of ginseng roots have resulted in over-harvesting. It is now almost impossible to find ginseng growing in the wild. Ginseng roots have been used in Chinese medicine for over 2000 years to treat a wide variety of issues. This is premium ginseng seeds from the eastern US. ## Features - 200 Stratified American Ginseng Seeds - Planting Instructions Included - Plant Spring through Fall - Seeds will germinate this year ## Images ![200 STRATIFIED American Ginseng Seeds panax quinquefolius l - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Xbwb4OLJL.jpg) ![200 STRATIFIED American Ginseng Seeds panax quinquefolius l - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61XhI2diF5L.jpg) ![200 STRATIFIED American Ginseng Seeds panax quinquefolius l - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71J1ZtAx06L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can seeds be frozen to preserve viability?** A: I don't know, sorry. I know freezing them slows down the process of the seed becoming a plant **Q: Will this grow in hot humid Saipan/Guam, zone 11b-12?** A: With this species, you need freezing temperatures to help it grow since this grows in the Appalachian Mountain Range of North America. There are varieties of ginseng that are indigenous to the area and should perform better and not be such a hassle to deal with special growing requirements. http://azarius.net/encyclopedia/10/Ginseng/ ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Five Stars *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2016* Great seller, prompt, everything as described. Highly recommended. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Not good *by E***P on Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2020* Looked like dryed garbage but planted them anyway. And shocking none grew. Ordered some from another seller and can see the difference in quality. Pretty sure ill have better luck this year. I cant blame a seller if their seeds dont grow per say. But it was pretty obvious when i saw the seeds i got ripped off. Id get them somewhere else. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing grew... *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2016* Received fine, all was good. So far nothing has grown.
