Channels are high quality, straight, and fit the Philips Hue Lightstrip nicely. My project involves fabricating LED lighting to be installed under three parallel floating shelves that are 62” long. I cut the aluminum channels to 57” to accommodate Hue Lightstrips cut down to 52”, plus 5” for the base unit power connectors, and left 2.5” of power cord to get through cabinet sides. The LED portion of Hue Lightstrips fits nicely into the aluminum channels, and the diffuser strips fit nicely as well. However the widest part of the Hue power connectors, although barely fitting into the channels, do not accommodate the diffuser. As result I needed to improvise by cutting off the sides of diffusers around this piece, and the results were fine. Another nit - the clips provided. It would have been great if they were the same color as the aluminum channels I ordered (black), but they are silver. I was prepared to spray paint the clips black but I ultimately opted to use 3m double-sided tape instead. Other than the two minor issues noted above, the product is well-made and will contribute to the success of my project (will update with photos when project is complete). The low profile of these channels is visually appealing, they are easy to cut to size when using a quality mitre saw, and they effectively mask the “side lighting” of Hue Lightstrips.

These aluminum LED channels are very well made and easy to work with. The diffuser strip works very well and all mounting hardware was included. One thing to keep in mind when diffusing LEDs is that the further you can place the diffuser from the LED, the better the diffusion will be. Because these are low profile channels, you will not be able to get a good separation distance for ideal seamless diffusion. This is a common problem with ALL LED diffusion products - they cannot overcome the laws of optics :) This product is very good - I highly recommend these LED channels.

Last winter I picked up some Hue strips to attach to the bottom of my monitors and desk shelves so I could have some task lighting without interfering with the displays. I tried 4 different kinds of adhesive tape to stick the strips to the plastic of the monitors and painted steel of the shelves. In every case the strips peeled off; the last time was with Gorilla tape and it kept them up there for the better part of 6 months. Also, the strips themselves shine in 180 degrees, which meant that the light was right in my eyes as well as on my desk. I'd rigged some black plastic pieces, though was never very happy with them. So I ordered these channels and they're pretty close to perfect. The light strips fill them completely without interfering with the diffusers. I was able to easily cut the thin aluminum on my miter saw. And the plastic diffusers with a large pair of scissors. The connections don't fit inside of the tracks, though they're nearly the exact form factor. The sides of the track block most of the light that would otherwise shine into the room and my face. They stick substantially more securely to both plastic and metal than the strips ever did.

These rails are the minimum size needed to accept nanoleaf essential lightstrips. they fit in very snugly on all dimensions but work without issue. Because they are so thin you also won't get as much scattering of the light versus a strip with a deeper channel but they are serving me super well! I ended up not being able to use the mounting hardware since they add just a mm of width to each side so will be using command strips or double sided tape instead.

Good product, but he sure to check the width of the strip you want to use. The product photos have accurate dimensions. The adhesive is pretty good, but I used screws anyway for a better hold. This is an aluminum extrusion which means two things: one, using an insulating tape may needed under the contacts of the LED strip, and second, it's fairly easy to cut with your average tools (obviously not scissors). For the plastic diffuser, I reccomend using a very sharp razor blade as scissors will shear off leaving an unclean cut.

These work and look good. I ended up cutting them with a jewelers saw. A hack saw is a little rough on them.

Nice quality channel tracks for Led strip lights. Very easy to cut if needed. They install super easy, just be careful of the provided screws. The heads are on the weak side, so make sure your Phillips head is the proper size and if using a drill, drive them in slowly to avoid stripping the head.

I usually rate my purchases but don’t usually write a review but the quality of this product is GREAT which seems to be harder and harder to find. The aluminum trays are perfect strong but easy to cut. The frosted plastic strips are also very durable (especially helpful when installing the long sections onto the trays. EVERYTHING snaps tightly together so no worries about it ever coming lose. Great product!!!

This is my second purchase of these channels. I use them for strip lighting. They are high quality extrusions that fit together very well. They can easily be cut to size with a hack saw. The diffusers snap in and soften the harshness of the LED's. There is mounting hardware provided but I prefer to attach them using double sided tape. I recommend staggering the diffusers over the joints of the channels to provide a seamless fit. The finished installation is clean and attractive.

Voici ce que j’ai apprécié au sujet de cet achat : ✅ CONÇUES POUR HUE LIGHTSTRIP J’ai cherché longtemps une référence équivalente sur Amazon. Et bien qu’il existe des alternatives, rares sont les baguettes à LED qui proposent un espace intérieur de 16 mm. Une dimension qui est nécessaire pour accueillir de façon confortable les bandes LED hue de Philips. ✅ SOLIDE ET FIABLE Le métal utilisé sur ce produit ne se déforme pas sous la charge, et ces rainures sont très bien moulées. Même constat pour le cache plastique blanc qui recouvre la baguette. Si celui-ci est souple pour faciliter son insertion sur la goulotte, il n’en reste pas moins solide et coloré de façon uniforme. ✅ BELLE DIFFUSION LUMINEUSE Cela ne transpire pas sur les photos, pourtant passer par ces baguettes, m’a permis d’améliorer la qualité lumineuse des LED hue. La lumière est en effet plus uniforme et moins localisée à la diode qui produit le signal. Je craignais également d’altérer la colorimétrie des lightstrip, du fait d’un cache plastique blanc crémeux et non transparent. Dans les faits et après comparaison, cela n’a en fin de compte, aucune incidence. ✅ MODULAIRE Sachez que ces baguettes se découpent à la scie à métaux et cela sans difficulté particulière. À noter qu’il n’est par ailleurs pas nécessaire d’utiliser un quelconque joint entre 2 longueurs, il suffit de les juxtaposer à côté l’une de l’autre. ✅ VISSERIE Les baguettes sont livrées accompagnées d’un ensemble de visserie permettant de les fixer à un support par l’intermédiaire de pinces. Cet ajout est appréciable et évite un achat supplémentaire. Attention tout de même, le matériel fourni n’autorise que de stabiliser à 90°. Pour diffuser votre lumière à 45°, il faudra faire preuve d’imagination, en utilisant par exemple des équerres d’étagères. On pourra en revanche regretter : 🔴 ATTENTION AUX RAYURES Le métal utilisé pour ce produit semble sensible aux rayures. Aussi soyez sûr de correctement positionner votre bandeau dès le départ par rapport à son support. J’ai fait l’erreur d’ajuster plusieurs fois ces baguettes, ce qui m’a valu de les rayer (voir photo). 🔴 PRIX Même si c’est un produit bien fini et d’une très belle qualité, j’ai trouvé que le tarif était un peu trop excessif. Giungono perfettamente imballate in un cartone dentro ad un secondo cartone. L'alluminio satinato è sottile, resistente il giusto per essere fissato e sorreggere le strisce LED, ma risulta delicato e si segna facilmente se urta uno spigolo.. quindi bisogna fare attenzione. Lo spessore e l'altezza del profilo è perfetto per l'ultima versione delle strisce LED della Philips, rimane anche dello spazio tra la cover bianco latte e la striscia. La cover dovrà essere inserita di taglio per poi farla strisciare fino alla fine del profilo.. incastrarla da sopra o sotto risulta complicato e si incastra storta. In dotazione 12 clip in acciaio, 12 piccole viti e 6 finali di plastica chiusi e 6 finali con un foro per far passare i fili di alimentazione delle strisce LED. I finali con i fori non sono compatibili con il cavo delle Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus.. pertanto non potranno essere messi. La cover bianco latte riesce a diffondere bene la luce dei chip, ma se guardata direttamente questi sono comunque evidenti, sopra vi è una sottile pellicola protettiva che sarà da togliere, prima o dopo l'installazione. Avendo una cucina bianca, ho acquistato una bomboletta di vernice.. e con 3/4 passate leggere, lasciando passare 15 minuti tra uno strato e l'altro.. sono venute perfettamente bianche.. e così anche le clip. Molto soddisfatto per il materiale.. niente di che.. ma funzionale e perfetto per illuminare da sotto i pensili il banco lavoro della cucina. Don"t buy this for Hue v4 ledstrips. it doesn"t make any difference in difusing the light.
