Works great!
These power supplies are much better than the ones that they are a copy of. On the outside, they look mostly alike. But on the inside the components are of much better quality. Especially the voltage select switch. ALSO, these power supplies do not run hot in use, mine run only slightly warm in use. Much much better.

NOT SAFE - FIRE HAZARD
I bought two of these from different sources. One failed with a melted case and the switch melted so badly it doesn't work. Definitely on its way to a fire when caught. The second is so hot it can't be touched. THERE IS NO UL OR CSA MARKING SO LEGALITY IS QUESTIONABLE.

All as expected.
All interface components (posts, switch, dial) seem sturdy and relatively easy to manipulate. The dial is a little hard to grip because it's a little flat, but it's easy to turn and sticks nicely in place at each position. The power posts are a little crowded. It's actually a little inconvenient to get a wire on them as it is. It would be even worse to get some crimped terminals onto them. They would very likely obstruct (or even trigger) the power switch or the voltage selector dial.Voltages seem fine. Some settings are measuring 0.3 to 0.5 volts high on my cheap $3 meter (take that for what it is). This has been fine for me because most circuits I power with it would drop it that much anyway. I have not yet tested this unit under heavy load.I wish there was a 5V setting. I might look into adding one.I don't have an oscilloscope and can't say how clean the power really is.

Barely had this for 1 day and Im already complaining. Not bad, just not what I expected.
1) There are six fixed voltages (3 ,4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, 12). Its not a continual dial as depicted. Not very clear or explicit about this.2) Doesnt have the commonly needed values of 5 or 10 V.3) Those voltages are not very precise. I observed values as far off from marked value as 0.7 V. I had slightly over 8 V on the 7.5 setting.4) The voltages are not even stable. During a single use my voltage output drifted by as much as 0.5 V. I dont know what they mean by "regulated"; it doesnt seem regulated quite enough to me.5) Voltage spikes when changing the dial from one setting to the next. It peaks to 12+ V during switching. A voltage divider wouldnt solve problems 4 or 5.6) The package does not contain banana plugs, fyi. So you need your own. But if I had my own Id probably already own a DC power supply. I just assumed they'd come with, but I guess I should have checked first. But, on the plus side, it does work. It generates voltages as low as 3 V and as high as 12 V and drives current sufficiently well. It seems to be built fairly sturdy/solid. Small in size and fairly light weight. Im not going to file a complaint or return the product. For a measly $20 it is a great buy. This was recommended to me by a friend but in truth I probably wont be recommending it, myself, not without being very forewarning about what they would be getting. I dont regret the purchase (yet) but if I had known about these issues ahead of time, I wouldnt have gotten it.

Impressive for hobbyists!
I picked up this power supply to get my workbench started and it's exactly what I needed. Small, cheap, and comes with your standard test voltage settings. The dial makes a nice clicking sound when you switch settings, each of which I have tested with my multimeter and have proven to be accurate (within one thousandth of printed voltage).I have owned this product for a few months now, and I have had no problems to speak of.I would definitely recommend picking this thing up if you're looking for a good, regulated voltage power supply.

Important point about the MW122A power supply
Important note: The MW122A power supply generates only one of six fixed voltages: 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9 or 12 volts. It is not a continuously-variable-voltage supply, and does not supply the commonly-needed 5 volts. In my opinion, the product description should make this clearer. Also, I purchased two units, and one had a "noisy" output on some of the lower voltage settings. That was fixed by disassembling the unit (easy to do) and spraying some tuner cleaner on the rotary switch contacts. With that, it works 100%. The voltages produced are typically within 100 mV or better of the stated voltage. Note also that there may be voltage transients as high as 20 V or so when switching from one output voltage to another. The units don't come with test leads. The power cord is permanently attached, is ungrounded and is not polarized. All in all, for the price, I'm happy with the units. They do the basics of what I wanted.
