AVACRAFT 6 Quart Stainless Steel Stock Pot with Glass Strainer Lid

AVACRAFT makes excellent quality, heavy duty kettles. 2 years ago I bought a 1.5 qt kettle with pour spouts & strainer lid & I love it. It's perfect for cooking vegetables & draining them - no more need to partially open the lid to drain & let the vegetables go out with the water! The kettle is very durable & works great on my induction cooktop. So I wanted a larger diameter pot to accommodate corn on the cob. I wanted the pot to be extra wide to handle long ears of corn & AVACRAFT once again fit the bill. It was a no brainer since I like the other pot so well. The 9.75 inch diameter is about as large as you will find &, once again, it is an excellent quality pot. This one comes with silicone coated handles on the pot & lid - another nice feature that many other brands don't offer.

This 6 quart stockpot is the best I have ever owned. It has two pour spouts, glass lid with one vent on top of the lid so no more spill overs and silicone coated handles. They are very well made with induction 5-ply capsule bottom for even cooking. I also own several of the saucepans and use these everyday. These will last a lifetime!

I used to have a set of pots/pans that were almost all the cheaper non-stick cookware. I've been gradually investing in better quality stuff, and moving to Stainless when I can. We needed a new 5/6 qt pot for soups and spaghetti and such, and after a lot of research, I decided to give this a try. Very happy with it so far - have made dozens of soups with it and other meals. So far it's held up very well. It can be a little harder to clean than the non-stick stuff, but it doesn't scratch off and get in my food and honestly, it seems like it cooks better. I do keep some Barkeeper's Friend on hand to help do some of the harder clean up jobs, but mostly it just can be hand washed or even put in the dishwasher without much trouble. Overall it's been a great investment so far, very happy I got it.

It's a nice pot for soup making. It looks nice too.

i like the pots and it has double spouts. the rubber handles are nice and sturdy. the vent hole in the lid is appreciated. the inside has measurement markings.

So far so good, pot is working well. I do recommend hand washing this for the first few times you use it to ensure that it is clean before you use it.

I love that I can strain this with the lid on , no strainer needed! It’s perfect for making my kombucha, I highly recommend this pot !

My only complaint is that the handles get very hot. Otherwise, I am very happy with this is excellent high quality cookware.
