I have not had this long enough to give a lengthy review or comment on “durability” but it is a neat unit that runs from a USB power source, so that’s handy.We have a few full size Fellowes purifiers around our house and so I’m familiar with what makes a good purifier. This unit is cheap and chear full, although I don’t see it doing any real good.Yes is has a hepa filter for very small particles but it has no carbon filter, at least not where it should be!!The idea of the carbon filter is to catch the large particulates or debris from the air and the the hepa filter catches the rest. With this unit the hepa will become blocked and performance lost a lot quicker as there is no preceding carbon filter that you can clean or change.....I would probably say you should spend a little more and get a more effective filter if you have allergies as this one will be less serviceable over time and far less effective.It’s not that quiet either and will be audible in a quiet room or office.I’d make sure you are happy “getting what you pay for” before pinning your allergy symptom free hopes on this unit.

I'm not sure how you would measure the effectiveness, but it seems to work - I bought this for my boat to try and cut down on the airborne particulates from my multifuel stove.As another reviewer mentioned, there is no 'active' charcoal filter prior to the HEPA unit - so I'm not sure how quickly this will get clogged.At the end of the day it is a small fan and ioniser with a filter built in - but it runs from USB and uses minimal power, which was important to me as I'm completely off-grid and my home runs on batteries.As for the noise; the whirring doesn't bother me, but it might bother some. One button for on-on for eight hours-off, which I suppose makes it simple.Only rated 4 stars as there is no way to run the unit without the blue LED light running, and whilst the noise is not bothersome, I find that the light is. I probably wouldn't want it in my bedroom.

I have a lung condition and share space with smokers .I have noticed the area to be far fresher and less smell of smoke in fact iv ordered another one for another communal area that is effected by smoke

Fantastic product, i got this one for my friend. I brought one a year ago. The noise is actually relaxing to fall asleep to. It helps clear the air and fresh! I love this product. I have bad heyfever & allergise. It doesn't get rid of it of course but it helps the air around you.

Excellent purifier, does exactly what it says on the description. Plugged it into my laptop and it works perfectly. I bought this for our kitchen and it has really made a difference. Very quiet too. Definitely would recommend!

I bought this product specifically to remove cooking odour from my kitchen ,and as I have a small kitchen , I leave the small window open , and the kitchen door closed.I feel it is a small price to pay. This product works well and I have noticed a big change in my flat . And no, I have not tried to use this product with the door open and window closed, before you ask. I have only had this product for a week, so I have a limited feedback on this item.

Bought for my son as he was suffering really bad with hay-fever. Had put in his room and now he can finally sleep. Its by his bed and the noise is so low he says it doesn't disturb his sleep.

First of all it looks great on my desk. I like that the branding is subtle and modern. The device is very compact but powerful and makes a measurable difference to the air quality. I actually used an air pollution sensor and saw the quality of the air improving steadily after turning the filter on. The fan is quiet. I am using the timer function during the night. It comes packaged in a little box and would make a nice gift.
