Its a cool little dance floor, even for an adult !
This is a great product! It took me maybe 20 minutes to put in together, and if I needed to reassemble it again, I think it would take 5-10 minutes at most. Really there are Lego sets that are WAY more complicated to assemble then this. So this was a piece of cake. We are using it on carpet, but for assembling I HIGHLY recommend that you do it on a flat hard surface first, even a sturdy board to put under it will work. Then move it onto carpeting when completed. You just line it up and step on it just like in the instructional video. Or if you have some upper body strength just push it down with your hands. (I don't know why anyone would need a "mallet", serious just lightly step on it folks. ) If you have shag carpet it might be too uneven for this product to settle on top of, that would be my disclaimer for heavy carpeting, its probably not going to work at all for you. I read some reviews that it is too small..... uhmmm.... if you measure 3 x 3 feet ahead of time you will know EXACTLY the size of the dance area you are getting. With the frame included it is actually slightly LARGER so I don't understand the reviewers saying it is too small. Those people must be morons. It would also fit assembled under most couches, just slid the whole thing under until you want a solo dance party again. Anyway its good for an apartment because you get some tapping noise, but nothing crazy to drive the people below or next door crazy. And easy storage, we just push ours under the twin bed when not using it or you can completely disassemble quickly and store it back in the box. Its not made of wood, duh. So don't expect it to be a studio quality sound. Its great for practicing and for having some fun at home. Do it, lose some calories people. And yeah they are made so you can buy several sets and put them all together to make a *Megazord* dance floor. So if you want to have a few people dancing prepared to buy AT LEAST 4 or more sets to make that happen. But if your gonna stand there and tap by yourself, enjoy a single set.

1 kit good for kids, 2 kits needed for adult ballet barre exercise
This is really beautiful flooring. I bought it to protect my house flooring from the beating ballet point shoes can give it. It's very easy to put together.

4 Stars because of the missing instructions and the time it took to put together. Let me help you!
Update: I had a chance to use the floor and I am happy with it. I added a star for the quality. It is just what I had hoped for. I ordered a 5' x 5' floor. I received one box with some of the panels already put together. I thought I was missing the other pieces assuming the other box had the borders. I was wrong. The other, smaller box had the rest of the single panels and the borders. I did not receive any instructions which made this process incredibly time consuming. To be honest, I'm not great at putting puzzles together and I am someone who usually puts something together wrong the first time and have to start over -- even when I follow instructions! But according to the reviews and the videos, it looked easy enough. I went to the Amazon website to watch the posted videos as well as going to the manufacturers website for installation instructions. I found them confusing and they were not helpful. They did discuss the male and female ends on the panels. One of the photos from the manufacturers website showed the outside edges of the panels as smooth so I tried putting it together with that in mind. I tried to put this together numerous different ways. No luck. The borders also weren't matching up with the panels. (They also have male and female ends.) I realized there must a formula to this. Here's the secret. For this 5' x 5' flooring, every other panel should have the male and then female PowerLock on the outside. Also pay attention to the inside edges. Once I got that, then it made sense. Lay all of it out first (panels and the borders) before you try and snap these pieces together. I have carpeting so snapping these panels together was a challenge. I stepped as shown in the videos and photos, stomped, did calf raises, knelt (put something on my knees to protect them). Some snapped easily, others not so much. Be careful with how you are handling these as my arm got scratched and bruised from the mishandling of one of the panels from the bottom. Now that it's put together, I'm looking forward to dancing on it. It's in my guest room / gym and it's the perfect size. I started taking a hip hop dance class so the 5' x 5' should work great. I will come back and update the review once I have had a chance to use it. Happy dancing!

Works great as office chair mat
Hard to assemble on carpeted flooring but easy on hard surface. I bought two sets so I could have a slightly larger surface and they work together great! I am using it as a mat under my office chair, on carpet. Works great for my purpose.

Cannot be used for indoor basketball
I searched for “indoor basketball floor” and this item was listed in the top 3 results because it was sponsored. Reasons for the 1 star: 1 - This floor does not work for bouncing a basketball (the ball does not bounce high enough) 2 - Once you snap/install the pieces in place, it’s actually very tough to unsnap. Several of the tiles chipped on the edge when I unsnapped/uninstalled to return. 3- Seller only refunded half the purchase amount (I’m assuming due to broken tile pieces when I uninstalled to return.) So I basically paid $65 to return a product that does not work as an indoor basketball floor. I don’t know how the ads/sponsorship works for Amazon search, but please remove this so another customer doesn’t fall victim to it.

Good product, but missing border pieces
This product was easy to assemble, seems very durable, and everything my daughter wanted, however it did not have all of the correct pieces to complete the boarder around the outside - it was missing 2 needed pieces leaving it unfinished and shabby looking. I contacted the company to try to get the border pieces but have not heard back (this was a month ago). Hoping to get those pieces to complete the floor!

It's woth it.
It's a little bit difficult to put together as I was concerned about breaking the individual pieces. Once I figured it out It went smoothly. My only suggestion would be to us a rubber mallet. I haven't taken it apart yet so that is a future deal. The wife is already talking about making it bigger.

Prefect for younger dancers
This dance practice floor is well constructed and quite sturdy. It was easy to put together and my daughter has gotten a lot of use out of it practicing her tap dance skills.
