Q: is it really waterproof?

That was my problem with the camera. We took it on a snorkeling trip to Hawaii and didn't exceed the 15 feet limit that Sony said it was waterproof to, and it seeped water into the inside of the camera. Ruined it and when I tried to get Sony to honor it's warranty, they reneged on their warranty. Their service center is a joke. I barely took the camera any deeper than 5 feet.

Yes. It protects the lens and nothing zooms out. I had 2 and loved them. Excellent for 1-hand operation. Sony color quality.

Q: Does this camera have a wireless feature for uploading photos?

No! This is a great camera but is missing this feature.

Q: In what format is the video? Mov? MP4? Can it convert to 720p?

You can choose AVCHD or MP4 format for filming movies. AVCHD is 1080 60i (interlaced), and MP4 is 30p (progressive). In MP4 you can select 1080, 720 or VGA mode.
