Would it be possible to remove the velcro without damaging the stitches for the other slots and edges?

The bottom of the Velcro would need to be cut, as it is stitched into the outer seam. It looks like that would be the most difficult part.

Does this have Rfid protection?

I don’t think so. Maybe you can put some inside if you need that type of protection.
