Very easy to apply
This oil has been formulated using a blend of natural oils and resins, making it ideal for use on all types of bare wood, including hardwoods, softwoods, and even plywood. Its unique formulation ensures that it penetrates deep into the wood grain, providing a durable, water-resistant finish that will protect your wood surfaces from damage caused by moisture and wear. One of the standout features of Rustins DANO2500 Original Danish Oil is its ease of use. It can be applied using a brush or cloth and requires no sanding between coats, making it an ideal choice for those who want to achieve a professional-looking finish with minimal effort. It also dries quickly, meaning that you can apply multiple coats in a single day. The finish produced by this oil is both attractive and durable. It has a low sheen that enhances the natural beauty of the wood grain, without making it too shiny or glossy. It also provides excellent protection against scratches and scuffs, making it ideal for use on high-traffic areas like floors and tabletops. Overall, if you're looking for a high-quality oil finish that's easy to apply and produces a durable on your wood surfaces, Rustins DANO2500 Original Danish Oil is an excellent choice.

Great product, wish I’d discovered it years ago..
Brilliant product.. forget wood stain or paint like products, it’s so easy to apply, very thin so penetrates deeply . I have a slatted garden bench , I gave it two coats top and bottom and still had an inch left in the bottom of the tin ..I think it’s 250 ml , doesn’t seem like a lot but it goes a long way. Of course it’s best suited for new smooth timber. On pure white pine it takes it down a couple of shades, just enough to have the right effect, it shows the grain beautifully . in warm weather it dries very quickly so you can give it two coats in a short space of time, leave s no oily residue. when it rains the water just runs off it , no water penetration. It might need a fresh coat yearly, but it’s so quick and easy to use that wouldn’t be a problem plus it’s cheap enough to buy.

Does the job
This is good, it stinks a bit (not unbearable even with windows shut though) and it takes a few hours to dry so i do it in the evening before I go to bed as children &especially husband can't be trusted not to touch! it makes a nice colour and gives a lovely shine but I wouldn't say 'glossy' which in my humble opinion is a good thing -just the right amount of shine to show you look after it but aren't too keen ;-) It lasts well too as I couldn't be bothered to listen to the instructions to do new wood once a day for a week, once a week for a month and once a month onwards -I think I did it maybe 5 times?? Deffo do around your sink a good few times though!! It is very sticky though so deffo wear disposable gloves (because it is not coming off!!) &&it went on the white ceramic sink I've got since I'm not that careful and too lazy to put tape down but it came off with a metal scourer. I hadn't done it for a few months and when I tried too the bit left in the bottom had gone solid and I had to chuck it. probably stored it wrong so make sure you read the label! ;-)

Excellent quality. Just the right thickness for easy application. It brings out the grain beautifully without changing the colour. Great size bottle too.

Consistent, easy to apply, great quality overall
I've tried a few cheaper brands Danish oil previously, with no big issues, but decided to go with a recommended brand for the latest project. I had a large set of new Ikea Ivar shelves to protect/finish and decided to stain the side supports black (Ronseal 10 Year), and oil the shelves and cupboard boxes with Danish oil. I ended up having to buy three 1L tins from Amazon (should have just got a 2.5L from the start...) but was delighted with the consistency of the tins, each giving the same finish. Just in case it helps someone - I sanded the shelves then used a brush to apply the first coat, leaving each shelf for 5-10 mins before wiping off the excess oil with kitchen roll. I left them to dry overnight, then very lightly sanded them back (320 grit) and applied another coat in the same way as previously. The second coat uses a lot less oil, and dried again overnight. I didn't find a third coat added much on this pine wood, so decided to give them another VERY light sand (400 grit) and pop the shelving together. I plan to oil the tops of the shelves again in 6 months or so with a rag - just to keep them in tip top condition. Overall a great product, and well worth the extra few pounds over the cheapy alternatives in my opinion. I'm not sure it smells any worse than the other Danish oils I've used in the past. The smell isn't horrible, but does take a week or so to fade after it's all dry. The photo I've added shows the shelves part way through fitting, with oiled wood on the outside (left and right side) and a couple of unoiled shelves in the middle and bottom middle for comparison.

the best finish I found
I have tried several finish as I have started to do some woodworking, I tried Danish Oil Wilko it was super awful smells really bad, I had the boards many days drying due the bad smell, I tried Rustin Pure Tung Oil, it was very smelly and it caused me breathing problems for 3 days, I tried several varnish but then they look too much plastic, but this Rustin Danish Oil is a blend of oils and varnish and the finish I love it, you get the succint smooth finish that you can get from varnish, but at the same time it's not soo much a varnish that would feel like plastic, I like to touch the wood and feel the wood still there, for example a desktop I made I went all with varnish (wilko warnish) and it's really like plastic feeling maybe if I try other brands it's better but this Danish Oil it's the best. On the best thing for me it's that it almost hasnt got smell and actually it's not unpleasant. When I bought I was deciding between this and the Barretin danish oil and because the tin of that was 12 pound while this is 7 pounds I decided to go with this one, very good. I upload 2 pictures with the before and after

Lo mejor aceite
Me gusta este aceite porque puede aplicar fácilmente. Seca relativamente rápido. Seria almacenar en pequeñas raciones: Aire demuele el aceite.
