Q: Date code? does this battery come with a date code sticker?

No, it does not come with a date code. In fact several came DOA and stayed flat or could not charge (interrupted interior circuit). That is a sign of reconditioneded batteries. The seller did replace them no questions asked.

Q: Anyone know the difference between this and other 12v 9ah batteries? no other 12v 9ah batteries mention the watt / cell or discharge characteristics.

THe UPS is back to life!

I was not sure if the TrippLite backup UPS had died as it was 5 years old, so I tried new batteries. Perfect. Back in action without replacing the whole unit. Power has been down and couple of tiumes ... all switched in perfectly.THese were easy so to fit.
