Good rice and it stores well in the sealed bag.
This is great rice and about the best price on Amazon. This is the second time I've bought it and I just opened the last bag, purchased in '22 I believe, it was very clean and has a good taste. We mostly eat regular and brown basmati and are used to the royal burlap bags, which, while cool, don't have the best seal. This is much more practical long term storage than the burlap. I'm not really a jasmine connoisseur but this smells good and has a good texture, we've made several batches of regular and a few coconut rice batches. Don't have a rice cooker so we're old school with a pot on the stove. 1 cup rice, 1.5 cup water, bring to a boil and stir, put the lid on and put it on your lowest burner for 15 minutes, it turns out every time.

A True Cook's Air Freshener
You probably won't find a more fragrant and aromatic rice to prepare in your kitchen. It's a wonderful smell that puts a smile on your face, and lends itself to all of the other natural cooking fragrances found in your kitchen.Only two quick suggestions that I'll make for this rice. And it has nothing to do with the quality of the rice (which is great), but how to get the most of it. The first suggestion is that you rinse the rice very well before even using it to cook with. Whether you use a perforated rice washing bowl, or just a simple mixing bowl, the idea is the same. You'll want to rinse the rice until any water poured into a bowl with it comes out clear if you were to move the rice a round a bit using your hand. The second trick is to add a tablepoon of ghee or manteca (lard) to the boiling water right before you add your rice. It does a little something for the taste and texture of the rice. This rice is priced right, good for recipes that call for long-grain, tastes good, and will help you make magic out of even the simplest meals. Without question you need to order a large bag of it today.

High quality jasmine rice that is bug free.
The quality of this jasmine rice from Thailand this five stars. I have purchased similar Jasmine rice products not from Amazon in Asian grocery stores in Houston Texas that were infested with bugs. Amazon products or bug free and guaranteed.

Never disappoints.
This has been my go-to Jasmine Rice for a while now. Great price and never disappoints. I live in the high desert (7000 ft) and have to use more water than the recommended amount. Great texture and arouma.

It turns out edible, most of the time?
Usually turns out well. I don't know rice, so my opinion is naive. My go-to budget friendly rice source.

Zero complaints. Great value!
I’ve been eating rice as a daily staple for damn near 30yrs.There’s various styles of rice but generally speaking jasmine rice is jasmine rice regardless of the source. Yes different brands/regions might have various aromas and flavors but I never had unseasoned jasmine rice in this country or even Asia that had a super distinct taste. Its like table salt vs pink salt. Is there a difference?! Sure but not one that would be recognizable by the average palette. If one was eating jasmine rice by itself with no other dish perhaps strong taste and aroma would be of significant importance. If you’re that particular about your rice you probably shouldn’t be looking for bargain deals!Due to a supply chain shortage of rice I decided to buy rice via Amazon instead of my local international market. Again imo rice is rice but the price was very low so I decided to read the reviews and noticed several people complaining about bugs. This didn’t alarm me much because c’mon rice literally grows in dirt and in 30yrs I’ve never seen bugs in a bag of rice that I just brought home and I almost never rinse my rice but I decided to research the bug people had complained about prior to ordering simply out of curiosity and to no surprise bugs that may “infest” dry grain are harmless. Like ants they don’t generally cary disease.Only in America do people freak out about bugs in food! Just imagine how many bugs come in contact with your food prior to it being processed! lol Thats why the FDA suggest washing your food and cooking it thoroughly! To the germaphobes put a fresh apple or any other produce in a sealed container and let it decompose and you’ll be surprised as to why bugs appear in the sealed container…it’s because micro sized larvae is already in the apple! As for my review I found this rice to be of great quality, taste and aroma! I purchased 4 bags and found zero bugs. The taste was fine although I find rice from Vietnam to be more flavorful I had no complaints with this product of Thailand which is actually the origin of Jasmine rice.
