Sure, the sleek four-slice models with extra bells and whistles are tempting—but I went with something basic, and I’m glad I did.This toaster does exactly what it’s supposed to: toast. It’s compact, affordable, and has been working flawlessly for months. I held off on reviewing just in case something went wrong, but it hasn’t missed a beat.English muffins, bagels, regular bread—everything comes out evenly golden. No gimmicks, no wasted counter space, and no regrets. Sometimes, simple really is smarter.

A very 'substantial' toaster! Compared to the one that just died, this is like night and day. My previous toaster was very flimsy: The knob and lever always felt loose and I was never sure what number it was on- but with this new one, there is no doubt and no excess movement. So far, the toasting appears to be even and the knobs, levers and lights all work and look good doing it.

I love Black & Decker products and have always been happy with them. My first hand mixer was a Black & Decker and it literally lasted over 20 years through heavy use. The prices are reasonable for the quality. I decided to get this toaster for that reason and when my more expensive name brand toaster started smoking & sparking after only about 4 years. First it toasts evenly. It does seem well made but the outer shell (the black part) is plastic not metal. I usually prefer and buy stainless steel. There was a slight plastic smell the first time I used it. It's simple to use. Basic controls and settings. I use wider whole grain bread and the slices fit just fine. The picture is bread that I toasted on the 3 setting. Both sides are toasted evenly. Overall I am happy with this toaster. I do wish there wasn't any plastic on it.

Great for Bagels, Buns, Thick Bread! I bought this toaster about 5 months ago for our breakroom at work and it gets used every day. Bagels with toppings (like an everything bagel) come out perfectly well toasted without burning the toppings on top. It's also wide enough to toast bulky buns. Good value, settings work well - excellent product and would buy again.

Perfect toaster with great design, large buttons, strong handle, and KEY button to end toasting. Has everything to toast toast. Large bread slots make it work great for variety of breads...which is key for toasting bagels, sourdough, pita, or any unusually-shaped thick or shaped breads. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Well made sturdy, balanced toaster. Easy to clean crumb tray. Dial to adjust type of bread and doneness of the same. Good purchase.

I accidentally damaged the last toaster by dropping it. So I bought this one rapidly. Quality is OK but I wish it was a little bit more heavier. It's too like that. It feels almost like plastic. One of the things let's stand out is the material very shiny so it has a habit of catching people's eye if you're just looking for standard toaster or replacement or just don't care about that stuff it'll do its job. The toasting function functions are pretty basic and straightforward. Nothing complex. It heats rapidly and it does 1001% excellent. I'm just very critical on looks/weight. I'm looking into the same company and upgrading to a better one that's heavier and less shinier and possibly metal.

Just toasted my first slice of bread that toasted evenly and perfect. I also liked the wide slots, easy to use toasting setting along with the slide out crumb tray!
