This is when the Justice League of America becomes a good read.
Very much enjoyed reading this collection. Stories were interesting and the characters were spot-on. I haven't had this much fun reading DC is a long while. The Bronze Age is characterized by more adult storytelling. The situations become more plausible and the heroes act more like real people. (And to be honest, this was DC trying to catch up to what Marvel was doing.) The difference between Bronze and Silver ages is that Silver Age stories featured challenges and situations that grade school kids could identify with, while Bronze Age stories featured challenges and situations that high school and college age kids could identify with. So, if you've read any volumes of "Justice League of America, the Silver Age," these Bronze age stories here probably won't seem so silly or contrived.I enjoyed everything about this collection except for two issues. One, I think it starts later than it should. And two, it doesn't have the "Bronze Age" design that was established earlier. I suppose DC is abandoning that style. That said......I can't wait for volume 2!

Nice Bronze Age collection
I have really enjoyed this collection of classic Justice League stories. It’s a beautiful TPB, with a more interesting cover than the standard Bronze Age collections. It’s pretty much everything you could want from a Satellite-era book and you get a fair share of the “lesser” JLA characters like Green Arrow, Black Canary and the Hawks. The biggest complaint I have is that it’s marketed like a story arc, rather than as what it really is: Bronze Age JLA volume 1. But otherwise, it’s packaged nicely, the art is great and it’s full of Bronzy goodness.
