A few months ago I purchased a used 2006 BMW 325i with excellent mileage. But the car was too low, hitting the bottom of the car at any speed bump in the road. It really got exasperating and worrisome. Got these shock absorbers and the car firmly lifted enough to forget about hitting speed bumps anymore. Installation was tricky, since these models have their quirks, but the quality feels premium. This isn't my first Detroit Axle product purchase, and it won't be the last. Great durable car parts, great prices.

I don't like to give negative reviews, but I have to let people know what to expect when they buy this product. I have a 2014 Chrysler Town and country, and these have to be the worst parts I've ever put on any vehicle. They went on fine without any trouble. They lasted about 2 weeks and both of them have gone bad. They rattled worse than the ones that were original on that came on the van. I guess it's true you get what you pay for

I'm so impressed. After getting a quote from the local shop on shock/strut replacement I had to do something myself. Replacing on 2014 Traverse I do occasional mechanical work, but no expert. These parts fit perfectly, very easy to do. Replaced all 4 in about 4 hours. I do recommend also doing the sway bar links, as they are likely bad if you are replacing this. Plus optional stabilizer arm busing. and maybe control arm bushing. Once one of any start failing, all others have extra wear and these are easy. Also, once complete you need to align. Maybe do a quick one yourself, once I put everything back on my alignment was way wacked and getting a few miles to the shop was an adventure. But overall, very impressed with product.

So, I just installed these but they sure do make the van ride better. Feels like a new van again. Easy to install. No problems. I can’t attest to how they will hold up, but I sure do hope they do.

I decided to order through Amazon for free shipping to Canada and to avoid any surprise duties if I bought it directly from Detriot Axle. I didn't read the reviews before making the purchase, and after I did, I almost wanted to cancel my order due to the negative reviews. I decided not to, as there weren't many options like the complete set (6) out there within my budget. I checked again with my Mechanic, who said the Detriot Axle product was a decent replacement and should be okay for the job. The item arrived well-packaged, and my mechanic installed it easily. It's been over 3 weeks, my 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan is way more comfortable to drive and the rattling noise from my previous upper strut mount bearing is gone.
