I bought this because I was visiting Kenya recently. I did not want battery operated ones because I feared burdening my uncle with increased costs. Nothing could have prepared me for his reaction. I helped him put these in his ears. The smile on his face was gold itself from heaven. I mean, the old man was just besides himself with joy. He is an old man who is still very active in the community. He is committed to various community development projects, and belongs to many committees, some of which he either presently or has in the past chaired. He was becoming frustrated because he was having difficulty hearing distant sounds like people speaking from across the room. He now says he can hear very well. Great product, very fast delivery, and works as described. Also I'm a longtime hearing aid wearer (of the professional, $2000 type) so that is what I've been accustomed to. I'm so bad about "losing" them, wanted to try less expensive type.
