This really works
This stuff really works. My waterfall was reduced to a watertrickle so I decided to try this product. My last experience with foam was not a happy one because i didn't follow directions. My advice...Read the directions very carefully; it is extremely easy to use but be aware that you don't want to get it on your hands because the stickly result will end your working session. the other advice is be aware that it swells to three times the amount you put in and begins to swell almost immediately, so don't overdo it. I pressed small pebbles into it as I put the foam down to help make it look more natural. Also, the immediate resulting color is a purple black which was not very attractive. I was going to paint it however lucky for me I never got time to do it. Three weeks later and it looks like the rocks around it...A grayish green...So just wait a few weeks and you will be very happy with the resulting color.

Good product for fish pond
It works great, except you have to use it all at one time. The tube gets clogged with the foam and hardens if it sits overnight or longer and is useless. Otherwise it does work but is expensive if you don't use it all.

Better Than The Rest!
This is thee absolute best of all the foams for pond & waterfall installation! It's quick drying, low odor & holds fast & handles plenty abuse. We'd originally used it after trying others when we built our waterfall in 2009 & as we wanted to raise it, we opted to use another foam (bought at a local nursery/garden centre/pond store which was just awful! Was futilely looking all over the various stores to find Beckett Co's & WHAM!!! It hit me that I should seek it out on Amazon & while it set us back in wait time (I'll be ham fisting out a note to Amazon about this as it was an Amazon Prime item & shoulda been here Saturday or Sunday, but arrived yesterday... S'up wif dat Amazon? Grrrrrrr!!!) it's well worth the hassle & the first layer I did is already dried & stable 5 hours later. If you're in need of a good pond/waterfall/water feature foam that's better than the rest; by all means look no further than this product! I can assure you that it's the apex of awesome & worth every penny charged.

Average Good Product
I bought this foam sealant to patch up previously foamed areas in my waterfall that were in need of repair. Before using I had turned the waterfall off and let the old seals dry out, cut away seals that were decayed -- in other words did a lot of prep work. I gave this product three stars because it's an average good product. What I found in using this product was the following: 1) filling in cracks where some of the old product is still present is not advisable. This sealant for what ever reason did not form a nice adhesion to the old seals. 2) this product as mentioned in the directions (which by the way the font on the can needs to be enlarged so one does not need to take out a magnifying glass to read them) does expand tremendously. After using to fill in a crack or two, you will get the hang of how much to apply. 3) trimming the foam was easy and it tended to cut cleanly. I used an utility knife and hacksaw blade. However, what you will notice is that due to the nature of the foam, there are little air pockets that get exposed. This is not a problem for me, but beware if you are looking for a very smooth finished surface. 4) as I was trimming the foam in a side wall crack (where one rock is on the bottom and the other rock makes the side wall), the foam adhesion to the side wall rock was poor. In fact, in most cases I know there is not a good bond. This could be because I did not mold the foam right after applying but rather relied on the foams natural expansion to do so -- lesson learned. 5), the foam color is a deep purple even after letting it dry over night. So if you are looking for a true black, beware of this. 6) I was surprised how quickly the can emptied. I have a fairly small four tier water fall and reading how much the product should cover and the nature of my repairs, I truly expected one can to do the job. However, that was not the case. Hope this all helps.

Great stuff
Great stuff. Solves lots of problems. Doesn't kill fish...i accidently got quite a lot into the pond water (I immediately flushed some fresh water in) We don't like to permanently install something in case we need to move it later and this stuff is removable yet completely blocks water seepage.

Expands a LOT
This product works great but be sure to wear gloves and clothes you don’t mind ruining. No matter how careful I was, it managed to get everywhere. This stuff expands like mad so start small and add on if you need to.

Expands uncontrollably !!
I decided to use professional grade foam to construct my waterfall project, but used this Becketts product for a repair a month later. The Becketts foam expanded uncontrollably and ive now got a mess on my hands. Hopefully when it cures, i can trim it back with a utility knife. I tried to apply at the same rate as the pro stuff, and im not sure i could have applied it any slower.Aside from the fact this product is unreturnable, which i hadnt noticed when i bought it, i cannot recommend it as it expands far too much.As far as the ability to use it later by cutting off an inch of the tube as the instructions say, forget it. The can sat on my grass spewing all its contents out until it was spent. Definitely, its a one and done can !
