I use this solder for making jewelry and it’s absolutely worth the cost. It flows great and has a beautiful sheen.

Love how buttery smooth this solder flows. It's not as cheap as some of the other brands, but I think it preforms much better. I expected to use it up more quickly, but I'm not. Maybe I'm not using as much because of the superior performance compared to other solder? All in all, very happy with this brand.

The name says it all; Silvergleem. It looks just like silver, has a very nice flow and its lead free! I wish it wasnt so expensive. I think the price has increased recently.

I used this to solder a broken chromed zamak casting (a bass drum leg), using a "liquid zinc stained glass flux" and a large butane pencil torch. The solder produced an easy melt, good flow and wetting, and what appears to be an adequately strong bond. I got the workpiece a bit too hot and bubbled some of the chrome, but that was my fault ...

A bit shinier than I wanted but I think I can purchase something to tone the shine down and antique it.

This solder is so shiny!!!! I was worried I would have another issue of it smelling bad like I did with the last solder I used but this stuff left no smell or anything! And it leaves such a shiny finish it barely needs polishing! Will buy more! I love making jewlery out if this stuff!

This is my first piece with this type of solder. I'm super satisfied, although I can't quite find the exact temperature needed to melt it properly because I simply cannot find the composition of the solder. But overall, it's the perfect alternative to the traditional lead solder. The result is the same and you get rid of the fear that you might contaminate everything with lead. I'll be buying this regularly.

Maravilla

Lets not kid ourselves, this stuff is expensive compared to other lead-free solder and very expensive compared to leaded solder, but without a doubt I think it is worth the price even for use in moderately sized stained glass projects. Handles amazingly, buffs out shiny and takes (most) patinas well. I've found that it eats away quickly on cheap soldering tips - not sure why that is to be honest, but using a good quality iron and tip it's fine. Cheaper formulations of patina don't take, but good patinas leave a beautifully shiny surface. Essentially you're paying for the quality and need to match that quality with the other tools and materials you're using but in my book it is worth the price.
