good quality, keep the host beverage and your hands warm
I bought 3 sets of these mugs. I love to use them in the winter. When you pour hot water in to the mug, the temperature of the mug is hot enough to just keep your hands warm.

These are excellent BUT NEED LIDS
These mugs are great, BUT they are even better with lids. Without the lids they keep my tea hot and then warm up to 20 minutes. I purchased some lids to see if it would keep the tea hotter for a longer period of time. THE LIDS MADE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. With the lids, the tea stayed HOT for about 30 minutes. The tea stayed VERY WARM for 60 minutes. The cups don't come with lids which is a shame. I purchased some other plastic lids that are BPA free on Amazon made by Avito for a 14 oz stainless mug. They don't fit real tight, but they definitely do the job. I know the goal is to eliminate plastic lids, but I wish these came with lids. I was wondering why Stainless lids couldn't be made to fit on the mugs or clip on somehow.Anyway, I love the mugs and bought some for all my family members. I will be sending them with the not quite properly fitting lids because it retains the heat of the beverage about 3 times longer and it was almost so hot for the first 20 minutes I couldn't drink it. I would have given the mugs five stars if they came with lids.

My absolute fav mugs now
I didn’t know whether I would like drinking out of stainless steel but after a couple of months these mugs have become my absolute favorites. I’ve sent a half dozen porcelain mugs to the thrift store already! You can take them anywhere, I use them every single day and they still look the way they did on day one. I followed the vinegar soak advice inside the box and have never once tasted anything other than my coffee.

TL; DR: LOVE stainless steel - wish it were cheaper & had a silicon lid - likely lifelong product
Things I adore:- Ecofriendly packaging- stainless steel- "colors"Things I would improve on (but won't stop me from buying another pair.. which I plan to within the next few months)- the handle matches the temperature (to a lesser degree) of the contents of the mug. yesterday, i had some ice water and the handle was cold, but i've had hot tea in it (primary reason of buying this mug), and the handle wasn't warm at all.. soo shrug.- wish it were cheaper! however, i enjoy this cup so much. i doubt i'll purchase another mug for years as a result, so it should be worth its investment.. unless i lose it, which is more likely to happen (and not the company's fault)..- silicon lid. Man, i'm tired of finding only plastic lids for these kinds of mugs. i just decided to take the chance on spilling on myself (which I do often).. but it would be amazing if a silicon lid (not plastic! don't care if it's bpa-free) could be made for it so i could transport it with me to meetings up and down stairs..

Great mug, but be careful
Be sure to clean with diluted vinegar before using, as mentioned in the instructions. The mug is not as heavy or thick or large as I had expected, and I think that's a good thing. It seems to be the "right size."One word of warning: if you're used to a "normal" coffee mug whereby you can judge the temperature of the contents by how hot the outside is, then you're in for a shock when scalding coffee pours down your throat. Or so a friend told me.If you pour boiling water into the mug, the outside can still get quite warm. That's actually a benefit because at that temperature it's TRULY dangerous if you had no idea how hot the contents were.Nice work, Better For You! I look forward to buying more of your jazzy wares.

Great Mug (with amended instructions for hard water users)
Follow directions! Fill with vinegar water and soak overnight. Then run through dishwasher twice. After that, no metal smell or taste. Now my favorite mug for coffee, tea, anything cold, too. First class product! Added after some weeks use. Still great for use, but the water marks on the outside defy cleaning. After dishwashing, and despite hand washing, the watermarks on the outside look as though someone has drunk from the mug and not washed it. The inside (finished to a brilliant shine) cleans very well in a dishwasher, but the outside looks as though in was either poorly washed or not washed at all. I use it personally, but I can't offer it to any guest. Wrote company and Sam Pullman responded explaining I must be in a hard water area [he's right] and minerals in the water tend to cling to the outside of the cups. Rubbing a bit with vinegar should remove the spots. He was right and mugs rate 5 stars as a first class product
