Excellent Product, “Meh” Scent
this product came highly recommmended both on the soothing aftershave effect and the scent. It works amazing, I love this product and will buy from Pre de Provence again. The scent is not really my thing though, so I will be trying their other scent out next time. It isn’t a bad scent just a bit more “powdery” if you will. Smells like my grandma. But it doesn’t last long, and the soothing effect is excellent.

Awesome product, great smell!
Don’t waste heaps of money trying out various products, I’ve already done that for you!I’ve tried dozens of moisturizers, aftershave balms, aftershave oils, beard oils, beard balms, etc etc, some leave me too greasy, some leave my skin unable to breathe - trapping in heat and making me uncomfortable and itchy, some are too thin, some are just so sticky! And some.. give me pimples. Sometimes I’m clean shaven, sometimes I have stubble, sometimes I let my facial hair grow out a little longer. It’s hard to find something that just works! No. 63 aftershave balm... works!Received it this morning, opened it up, and liked the smell right away. It’s reminiscent of Spice Bomb cologne, so you might either love it or hate it, but I’ll do my best to explain the fragrance for those who aren’t familiar - leather, pipe tobacco, cedar, sandalwood, vanilla, and a slight citrusy sweetness... that’s what I get, anyway! This aftershave balm would work nicely with warmer types of cologne, such as the aforementioned Spice Bomb and Valentine Uomo. Great for anytime, but especially Autumn/Winter for those warm, comforting tones. The smell lasts a fair while too, but isn’t strong or overpowering; rather light and delicate after it’s been on a few minutes. As for moisturizing - this stuff is awesome. Not greasy at all, easily absorbed and isn’t sticky. You also don’t need much, a little goes a long way, so be careful squeezing that aluminum tube! It goes on easily, leaving your face feeling supple and fresh. It left my chin stubble shiny and clean looking, and I would imagine it to be a great beard conditioning moisturizer!Great on your face and neck, but I’ve also used a little on my hands and they’re now silky smooth! I guess it would have the same effect on rough elbows, and feet! I’ll be giving that a try for sure.My one and only gripe with this product is that you may have to hide it away from your wife/girlfriend/partner/boyfriend/husband/significant other/house guests/visitors... cos they WILL steal it!Overall, the best aftershave balm/moisturizer I’ve tried yet - and that’s out of quite literally dozens! Anddddd dozens! Will definitely be ordering more, and most definitely getting the lotion too. Yep. I did. I just ordered the lotion. I did that.

Feels good after shaving
Soothing aftershave that's not greasy. Smells nice but scent doesn't last. I use the matching shave soap and cologne; it's a great line of products.

Very good Product - Has a mild manly scent, Not Overpowering
I have tried many after shave Balm's and my favorite of all time is "Neutrogena Razor Defense" but sadly they quit making it. Neutrogena Razor Defense is the Gold standard to which I measure everything else in terms of moisturizing qualities, non-greasy, and scent. Razor Defense had very little scent. All this being said, the moisturizing aspect of this Shave 63 Balm is very good, right up there with Neutrogena surprisingly. I have read the other reviews of the Scent in the 63 and I would say it is pleasant, not musky, nor overpowering. The scent does seem to wear off in approx. 1/2 hour or less I would say. This is a good thing because the scent will not last too long and interfere with your favorite colognes. Colognes typically last longer than the scent in most after shave balms. Another good aftershave balm is the NIVEA, it is a bit runny but it does moisturize quite well and does not have much perfume/scent in it. Here's some tips on the most excellent shave of your life: IF you are looking for a most excellent shave, then invest in a Quality Badger Hair brush, and purchase one of the shaving creams from "Taylor of Old Bond Street" my favorite is Almond but they have several scents. Before shaving warm your face with the Steaming wash cloth and then mix together some "Cavendish Oil Soap" along with a small amount of "Pre-Shave Oil" then apply it AFTER warming your face with a Very warm wash cloth. After all this, then apply the Old Bond Street Shaving cream to your face with your newly acquired Badger Brush. Take your time and enjoy the sheer pleasure of this absolutely comfortable shave. When you have finished shaving then Re-Warm the wash cloth again and wipe your face and then SHORTLY thereafter apply this 63 Shave Balm or your other Favorite shave Balm and a Cologne if you prefer. You will not go wrong with this methodology and will absolutely cherish this totally amazing experience. Canned Shave creams like Edge, Barbasol, and others will never again find their way into your shave cabinet.

After Shave Balm
Great No. 63 fragrance. Nice soothing cream that doesn’t leave your face or hands greasy. The fragrance isn’t overbearing and does tend to fade by mid day.Highly recommend it, it’s worth the price. Also, the seller delivered before the Amazon estimated date. So nice!

Best for sensitive skin
Even with the best razor/shavers I can afford, my sensitive dry skin always feels irritated and ‘angry’ after I shave. The 63 aftershave balm has a cooling, smoothing, almost healing effect on my skin. The fragrance is pleasant yet subtle. My face stays smooth and hydrated for hours. I follow up with a shea body butter afterwards to kind of ‘seal’ the moisture (Tree Hut 24hr intense hydrating shea body butter). The combo has been the best.
