So i can just remove the clamps/stands when I am not hauling the bikes and the base has no impact on my bed. The mini and the Pro have the same size base so I can move my big bike around as well as get a second set of pro clamps for when he gets a bigger bike. Highly recommended. Don’t fear drilling..... Thanks.** A: The actual "arms" only slide in one direction with the grooves in the base, if you mount the base accordingly then yes, you can mount a bike across the width of the trailer. Also, I bought two, one of the red knurled knobs that keeps the arms from sliding stripped out, called customer service, a jerk asked if I could just weld a nut to it and use a bolt....then proceeded to complain about the 4 weeks it would take to file a complaint with the manufacturer etc etc....I welded a nut..but their customer service sucks, otherwise the product works great. **Q: Does your tire have to be straight or can you have it clocked** A: Hey! You can have the tire turned slightly and the unit will still work as intended. **Q: I just unboxed my Lock & load pro and one of the uprights won't unlock.** A: Good morning, This happens time to time when the Lock-N-Loads are new and not broken in. To release simply give the top of the jaw a good hard pop downwards and that will release the upright. Make sure the red lever is in the up position. Once released, the unit shouldn't give you the same issue again as it will then be broken in. Already ordered and can’t wait to install. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Using it on small trailer with some mods *by T***. on September 14, 2023* Using it on a 6x10 utility trailer. I saw the other post and freaked, sending wood screws through only wood, wont work. I tried to arc weld the nuts to the plate, but kept cutting through the nut and welded the holding screw solid. only had 1/4 inch sticks on hand. So moved on, and glued and wood screwed the plate in place, it wont ever move. Then screwed the lock and load plate down, its solid. Hope it doesn't dump the bike, that's my job. Wouldn't do it any other way with utility trailer and a wood floor. Like traveling a 1000 miles on interstate or highway. Average speed 75 out west, you have to make sure it holds.
