FIT:These pants are pretty true to size. I typically buy a Large in pants if I want a slightly loose fit, and a Medium if I want a more fitted/compression-type fit. In this case I bought a Large and there is enough room underneath for a very thin base layer if I wanted. My only complaint is... WHY are these a LOW-RISE fit?!? That just leaves extra risk of cold breezes sneaking in under your jacket and over these pants. I think this is a terrible design flaw, and if these were a mid-to-high rise fit they would be better suited to purpose.FUNCTION:These pants are VERY LIGHTLY lined. I spent about 20 minutes today snowblowing in windy, below-freezing weather (16° F, -9° C). I was still cold in these pants. However, normally in weather this cold I would wear my fully insulated snow overalls to stay warm. I think these would be very comfortable to wear outside in weather that is closer to freezing (32° F, 0° C), or in colder temperatures if you are walking between buildings (shopping, bar-hopping, going for a short walk, etc.)OVERALL:These lightly lined pants kept me warmer than regular pants (jeans, joggers, leggings, etc.), but were not as warm as fully-insulated snow gear. I think if you keep realistic expectations, you will be happy with these. Though the low-rise fit is a bummer and not ideal for cold weather gear.

These pants are my favorite outdoor winter pants. I've spend tons of money on "bigger" brands, but these seem to be better. They come long enough for my long legs and offer more room than curves than most outdoor brands do. The pockets are all where they should be, and the pants are durable. I've worn them over boots or under gaiters, either works. Most of my outdoor bottoms- shorts, leggings, pants- all come from this brand.I'm 5'10, mostly legs, about 220lbs and wear 14/16, and the XL are perfect for me. When I was 225-265, I wore the XXL.

Everything was great about these pants. Fits great! Kept me warm… spent two weeks in Norway, occasionally out in sub freezing temps (~20 degrees F) for a couple hours at a time. Wore over my other pants and stayed toasty warm & dry the whole time. So glad I bought them!

Warm to around 32 degrees F, perfect for cool, fall, misty day walks in the woods or to take the dog out quickly when colder. The fit is slightly small, I am a size 4 and got a size S and they fit a little on the snug side. They did rip easy climbing over a guardrail snagging on a raised piece of metal. I would buy them again.

I needed something a bit warmer for winter walks and these are perfect!! They are comfortable and I like that they replaced the snap with a button. This is my 4th pair!! I originally ordered two pairs. One pair got stained while doing yard work and came back and bought two more!

…SHOUTING, but I need to in order to get you to realize how great these pants are. I live on the beautiful, rugged, wild shore of Lake Superior where winters are rough (understatement), the weather is harsh (understatement), and we need reliable, sturdy, warm clothes (understatement). I’m an avid rockhound, and I sit directly on the beach when I’m hounding. No matter the weather, it’s always, always wet, but add Minnesota cold to that, and I have really miserable conditions. These pants make the cold and wet a total non-issue; I stay warm, I stay dry, I stay on the beach and stay happy! Because shortages and discontinuations happen, I bought a second pair to squirrel away; I hate to think about living without them.

I was so pleasantly surprised with these pants. They fit great. They are water resistant and I know because I walked around in the rain all day. I'm tall and they were plenty long. Thr lining is nice too. Great pants true to size.

I’m a short girl and finding pants that don’t drag is nearly impossible. These are perfect! They taper at the bottom so they don’t drag and have an adjuster to tighten or loosen. I wore these hunting and they’re the perfect weight with a pair of base layer pants underneath.
