... a 2 week backpacking trip in Indonesia and I love it. Despite looking small
I bought this pack for a 2 week backpacking trip in Indonesia and I love it. Despite looking small, it's very spacious because the bottom compartment actually expands a lot. There is the option of either having a separate bottom compartment, or loosening the drawstring and having it open to the main compartment. Also, the top pocket is really spacious for quick-access things. The only thing is that the pocket on the waist belt is not big enough to fit a phone. The pack is also small enough to fit as a carry-on, I didn't have any problems.I also took this backpack on a trek and hiked steep incline with it, and the frame was really sturdy and I had a lot of support thanks to that and the waist strap. The shoulder straps also have good padding so it was comfy to wear.Overall, it's a well made, lightweight, yet sturdy pack and, in my opinion, just as good as the top brand packs but at a much better price!

A great backpack for the price asked
I purchased this when the other backpack I ordered never arrived. It came in the day before we left for our hiking trip (Thanks, Amazon!) and was worth the purchase. (I'm not dinging the manufacturer for one of the pole ties coming loose since I could fix it with Loctite glue to keep it in the pull.)I took it hiking on 2 day hikes in changing conditions in the Great Smokey Mountains and it performed so well. I had it stuffed with 3L of water, snacks, extra layers of clothes (November hiking in the mountains can be tricky, so I read before we left) and it did quite well. The weight was manageable, especially with the gear stored in it, and the belts and straps kept everything in place and comfortable for our moderate length hikes. I knew I had it on but the weight balance was excellent and I didn't fatigue while wearing it. Even if nothing happened while we were out, I knew we could manage if something did go wrong with the capacity to have emergency supplies we didn't need. The air vents between my back and the pack helped, even if I did exert myself quite a bit and went through much of the water in the bag.I'm quite happy to have this and will take it back out in a few months for more hiking.

Excellent Pack for International and Domestic Travel Needs
I took this on a two week trip to Guatemala and Costa Rica. It was the perfect size to fit on my flights in the overhead compartment. I had no issues with being required to check this bag. The color is very accurate from the pictures and it doesn't have any chemical smells. I really like the internal frame, made for comfortable travel between destinations. I didn't really need to wear this pack for more than two hours at a time, but the padding was comfortable enough that I dont think I'd have a problem with it. The stitching is all holding to together well. I personally enjoy the bottom access to the main compartment of the bag so that I can easily access items without much difficulty. Overall, would definitely purchase again, it was great for my international trip an I continue to use it for my domestic air travel across the US as well.

The Perfect Bag for a Day-Hiking Traveler
I am very pleased with this backpack. I recently used it as my paid carry-on on Wow Air for a trip to Iceland (note that it is too big to be used as a Wow Air free personal item). This backpack was literally just the right size (as long as it is not jam-packed), is of excellent quality, versatile, and was incredibly convenient. It held about five outfits, two pairs of shoes, a raincoat, and various other pieces of gear. There was also a very convenient gap in between the internal frame and bag that accommodated my neck pillow. I also used this bag for a day hike and it was both sturdy and comfortable. I highly recommend this pack to fellow travelers!

Durable and Comfortable!
An amazing back pack! I used this for 4 days (40 miles) of hiking on the Appalachian trail and it was perfect. Super durable and light weight. Many compartments to help keep everything organized. Straps and back piece are incredibly comfortable with a lot of breathable padding! My pack when completely full weighed 32 lbs and my boyfriend's back pack (same exact one) weighed 47 lbs. There was no sign of wear/tear after the 4 day hike.

Good Value
I bought this because I needed a mid-size pack for SAR but since I'm new to the team I don't want to pay a ton of money until I know what exactly it is I need/want. I've taken this out for a couple of trainings and so far it's done quite well. The shallow shape keeps the weight close. While testing it out at home I went as far as putting an 8lb hand weight at the top of the loaded bag and I could hardly tell the difference. The hip pads could be longer but they're long enough to pad where I need it. Oddly enough, I find it easier to get into these hip pockets than I do my Osprey pack and use them to keep my multi-tool and other small bits. I expected the top pouch to be larger but the smaller size might actually be better - keeping fewer items makes it easier to find what I need. It doesn't have as many attachment points as some other, more expensive packs do, but so far it's been enough. I've been carrying my avalanche shovel on the side but am exploring options for attaching it to the back.I have a 17" torso and even with a climbing helmet on I can tilt my head backwards. I can move freely with the pack on, whether I'm digging in the snow or climbing over downed trees. The straps are easy to adjust and comfortable, even with my feminine curves. The only thing I'm not fully sold on is the way the bottom is designed. Most bags have a flap above the bottom opening that allows for some separation. This bag has a sort of built in stuff sack, which even when opened could make it difficult to unpack gear from the bottom. The packaging says it's for muddy shoes but I would much rather have the traditional flap, or even nothing. I'm keeping my first aid gear in there but might end up just cutting the "sack" out.TIP: The long and thin size of packing cube is a good fit in this bag. I'm using 2 plus a medium folded in half to organize my gear and it makes it much easier to find stuff than having lots of little bits floating around, or using those stuff sacks with a narrow opening.
