What a wonderful set of markers. I have used them on regular copy paper and gotten outstanding results. The colors are so vibrant and the brush tips makes them easy to control. I believe these markers rival the much more expensive brands. I have also used them as a base color and then used colored pencils over them with great results. I’m very pleased with this set. I like that the cap stacks on the end. I also like the color name as well as the color number is written on the barrel. The end of the pen also has the color on it. It comes with two blending pens as well. I think it’s a really good value. I really love that they are brush tips. I had to contact the company about a very minor issue and they bent over backwards to make it right. I can’t stress how great their service is. To me that’s very important. I will be purchasing their products in the future as well.

I really enjoyed this set of watercolor pens. I am a novice when it comes to watercolor but this made my learning really fun and simple. It's pretty neat that they included two water pens, which is why I picked it over other brands. There are many colors of varying tints, shades, and tones. That's helpful because aside from mixing colors, it can be hard to control how much to dilute with your water pen. The brush heads themselves feel to me very much like a synthetic brush but with good fibers and will handle reasonable use. The pigmentation is strong on some so you will have to experiment. In general I feel like it's decently easy to mix, although I haven't used pens from other brands so I can't compare that trait. I'm still getting used to the many ways you can use the pens. Like wet on wet or wet on dry techniques. I'll update after I've had them for longer! There's no instruction booklet so it's really your own adventure. Also, my friends have had a chance to try it too. It can be challenging to control watercolor, but everyone enjoyed the new experience. Definitely recommend! I attached a piece I did after some practice, using only Doodle Hog markers and water pen.

These blend so nicely for the most part. A couple of the neon colors don’t blend as well as the rest but they’re very bright so that’s ok. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is that there are to many oranges and they are so similar in shade. I counted 10 orange and 4 were so similar in shade that it seemed a waste, they could have added some grays instead or more true blue shades. Other than that, the box it comes in is sturdy and good to store them, they swatch beautifully on cold press watercolor paper, the brush tips are a good size and none of them were dry. The tip will allow for some nice detail work as well. Overall this is a really nice set, a good value. I recommend giving them a try if you are looking for a reasonably priced set of good watercolor pens.

I am so impressed with this set of watercolor brushes that I'm immediately ordering another set. I have a couple of different, more expensive sets of watercolor brushes and they are good. But this one is the best value. Every pen was fine from the start, no dry ones in this set. They are a very good expanse of colors, though I might make a few additions and deletions by my own preference. And two of the names do not match the colors at all ("Slate Blue" is really red violet). But I'm very glad that I bought these and expect to make a lot of use of them with my regular watercolors. 💖

So, I have wanted these for a LONG time. I am NOT an artist at all. I'm crafty but not artistic. I went ahead and got them....and I LOVE them! I decided on sketching HeiHei from Moana... The sketch itself was BAD. Once I started adding color, it started looking better and better. After blending, I was shocked. It actually looks great! I still need to decide on a background for it, but I am beyond pleased so far! The color selection is perfect, the entire set is quality, the box is sturdy, AND it comes with two blending pens. You fill them with water to blend the colors. This may be normal for a water color pen set, but I was not expecting to get those so it was really exciting! I will be purchasing a few as gifts for our artsy friends for Christmas!!

These are a true brush pen. I hate it when a brand says they are a brush pen and the nib is rigid and doesn't move. Brushes flex & bend. These flex & bend. Colors are really vibrant especially for the price. My one and only complaint is I'll be sad when any of these run out since I can't buy them individually. Would love to see these with student grade paint in them and/or a matching colored pencil set since I'm a fan of mixed media. I recommend them for sure.

We are a homeschooling family and try to do art once a week so I’m always on the lookout for art supplies. We especially love watercolors so I was intrigued when I saw these pens. They are loaded up like markers but the delivery mechanism is a brush. They are VERY responsive and with little pressure, the tip remains very fine so you can deliver color with great detail. The harder you push the broader the stroke. But the best part is the water blender brush. Even after my project sat a while I was able to come back over some parts with water and they responded just like watercolors so I could fade and blend easily. All the fun and none of the mess. My kids kept creating with these all evening, I’m sure they are a tool we will come back to again and again.
