Just wanted you to know it was broken, the missile do not shoot. I will keep though because we have another and even though the missiles do not shoot, the boys love having two.

After charging the unit and firing the nerf pellets twice the unit no longer fires the pellets. It rolls and spins but no shooting. Very frustrated and need to return it.

I'll try my best to stick with facts rather than opinions. First of all, I purchased this at a local store for less than $20. My positive review is based on this product being such a low price. Is the package difficult to open? Since that depends how much of a tool person you are, "difficult" is relative. With a decent power drill and the right screw bits, plus some good pliers, you can get it all apart in just a couple minutes. To me, that still seems a bit excessive for this toy tank, but that's an opinion.Second of all, the battery life is a concern of some. The pack is rated at 600 ma/hours. That's much lower than average for RC toys. You can order a 6-AA battery holder and with a few modifications to the battery holder itself make this into an RC toy that takes 6 AA batteries instead of a battery pack, giving it around 2000 ma/hours and the ability to switch batteries instead of buying battery packs. As it is, my son used the battery pack in the tank for about 2 hours (that includes the time it took him to go find the darts after shooting them, which was easily 3/4 of the time).Lastly, this is fast for a tank. I'd prefer a more realistic movement but for $20, I won't complain. Its movement is digital, not analog. This means each track moves at full speed or stop - there are no in-between speeds. You might like that or you might not.Is it made of cheap plastic? Yup. You can tell by holding it that it's not super-high quality. But again... $20. In my opinion, it's well worth it. If you don't know how to find it for that price, do a search for "bargain shopping" and spend a few hours learning from experts. Great prices on good products are out there (and at Amazon too!). Lots of fun to play with outside. My son made a dirt obstacle course for it in the woods and it works great! Goes over slopes and small sticks really well. Drives easily with good range. Inspires creativity. Wish it came with extra foam darts.
