True to pictures and video
I purchased this bus toy for my granddaughter for Christmas. She will be 3 in January and is in a "bus phase." I took it out to make sure it worked as described and was disappointed that the sound function did not work. However, there was an extra set of batteries included. The sound function worked just fine after switching out the batteries. I wish both sets of batteries had been good, but I am relieved that I do not have to purchase additional button batteries for Christmas Day! I also suspect that the stop sign will break off easily for younger children. The doors seem to be a little more sturdy. Children will need to be shown how to open the doors to prevent them pulling them completely off the hinges as the front and rear side doors slide/swing open as shown in the included diagram and in the posted video.

The gift that keeps on giving
Need a birthday present for your least favorite sibling’s child? Perhaps a gift for the spawn of your sworn mortal enemy? Or, like us, you donated the old school bus your toddler hadn’t touched in months only to be positively harangued about it endlessly until you finally gave in and purchased the closest replacement bus you could find, which brought you to this item. However you came upon this cursed, fever dream of a public transport vehicle, you’ve discovered exactly the right toy to aid in your spiraling descent to madness. It begins innocently enough, a detailed and quiet bus in an unassuming box. Even immediately after removal from its juggernaut chamber, your first thought will be, “oh this is adorable. Look at the joy on this precious child’s face!” You’ll realize once she discovers the pull back motion function, that this toy is going to be a little bit loud. Nothing you can’t handle. After all, the headlights, engine noises and insistent honking only adds to the spawnlette’s joy. It’s only after the vehicle reaches its inevitable first destination (the baseboard) and the mirror promptly breaks off into several tiny, jagged pieces, that you begin to suspect there may be something more sinister to the design of this toy. As if the mirror saw its shot to be rid of the demon vehicle and ended things as quickly as possible. And indeed, a few short hours, when your youngling discovers that opening the door begets a voice over and flashing lights repertoire, recorded in what I can only imagine is a Mad Max dystopian future-esque recording studio set in the cargo hold of a plane rolling down the tarmac. The disembodied voice, a woman with a fluctuating and indiscernible accent, will give many commands to your little one on the basics of bus safety at an unwarranted decibel level that can only be understood if you’ve ever spent an entire Journey concert standing directly in front of the speakers. With each play (and there will be many, many, many plays) of the recording, you’ll notice the tone slipping into a hoarse, demonic and slowed progression as it drains the batteries within hours. More demonic the recording will sound until eventually you’re left with nothing but an emptiness where your soul used to be as you load more batteries into the bright yellow megaphone of the underworld, to the expectant delight of your toddler.

It’s ok but…
Looks great, but too many really small parts (like the side mirrors) that easily break off. It’s ok, and my kiddo liked it for a hot minute, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Great toy all around!
Bought this for my nephew who just turned 3. His first bus. Has a motor sound and lights that turn on when pulled back to release and go. As far as durability, well after a “terrible 2” fit on not wanting to go to bed, he threw it hard on the floor and not a dent and all components of the bus still worked. Adorable!

One of the mirrors came broken and the emergency door was broken too but over all it's a good toy
