I inherited my father's dry skin and hair and it is a daily struggle to keep moisture in/on both. I found this product a few years ago and haven't looked back. I've been natural for 15+ years and dreadlocked for most of that time. This is the first product that gave me soft locs. The product is thick and keeps the moisture in. Living in a sunny, warm climate, I still have to apply daily to prevent a dry scalp. So if your asking because your hair has a hard time absorbing product, I think this might work. It has worked for my extremely kinky, dry hair beautifully. **Q: Does it work on relaxed hair?** A: Not sure, my hair’s natural. **Q: are these products too heavy for locked hair?** A: I can only assume because I have natural 4c gray hair and the heavy cream is very moisturizing.
