Just turned 50 and in the early stages of menopause. Being perimenopausal has really been hard to adjust to. I have experienced night sweats, hot flashes, and acne. I have never had acne not even as a teen so it was hard to know what to do to treat it. Waking up in the middle of the night soaking wet, like someone poured a bucket of water on me, was very unpleasant and nasty. Hot flashes coming on out of the middle of nowhere, just not sure how to handle or adjust to It. I was prescribed a progestogen cream that seems to work for a while. I was starting to feel like normal. But then, I started to get pain in my lady bits. The pain was so extreme that I thought I would have to go to the ER. I did not know what it was at first then I searched the side effects online from the hormone therapy it was one of the side effects. After I stop taking the progesterone all my ugly symptoms can back. Night sweats, unable to sleep at night, hot flashes, and acne. I tried a few products that did nothing to stop this. I started online research to find a natural product to regulate my hormones without horrible side effects and ran across DIM. I read reviews of other women experiencing some of the same perimenopausal systems that stated it really worked for them. I tried it. I am almost on my third bottle and I can say it worked for me. My acne has pretty much gone. I am able to sleep at night without waking up with night sweats and my hot flashes have pretty much stopped. No side effects that I can say. I do have a sugar craving but I am not sure if it is from perimenopause or DIM. I have More joint flexibility. I feel great since taking this. It has really balanced my hormones I feel like myself. Not having side effects, has been so wonderful. Prescribed hormone treatments are no good and very unhealthy, some even cause Cancer. Natural is the way to go. Thanks, DIM. I randomly saw this supplement suggested on a post about hormonal acne and decided to give it a shot. These things taste awful but they work. I found waiting a few minutes after I eat helps. I also take them with a sweet drink and eat a few potato chips afterwards because i read that something high in fat can help to reduce the belch aftertaste. Not only has the amount of acne decreased but my belly fat is gone. I still have acne scars so I’m working on that now. I’m 5’8 173lbs usually. I wear a girdle daily because I was diagnosed with prolapse and I had a bunch of belly fat. Today, I’m 164lbs. My sz 8 jeans are looser which is only upsetting because AE jeans aren’t that cheap. My daughter wears a 6 and I'm not able to fit hers.I’ll update on how far apart the pics are. I didn’t do a before and after in my belly fat because I had no idea it would help with that. I take a form of this via a supplement my MD recommended. I told her about DIM and my husband [who is not this MD's patient] was taking this via another source. While the label says for men and women, it put him "out of balance," with failing sexual performance. Once he stopped this supplement things went quickly back to normal. Suggest one follow the recommendation many of these supplement state to check with your health care provider first.
