Just turned 50 and in the early stages of menopause. Being perimenopausal has really been hard to adjust to. I have experienced night sweats, hot flashes, and acne. I have never had acne not even as a teen so it was hard to know what to do to treat it. Waking up in the middle of the night soaking wet, like someone poured a bucket of water on me, was very unpleasant and nasty. After I stop taking the progesterone all my ugly symptoms can back. Night sweats, unable to sleep at night, hot flashes, and acne. I tried a few products that did nothing to stop this. I started online research to find a natural product to regulate my hormones without horrible side effects and ran across DIM. I read reviews of other women experiencing some of the same perimenopausal systems that stated it really worked for them. I tried it. I am almost on my third bottle and I can say it worked for me. My acne has pretty much gone. I am able to sleep at night without waking up with night sweats and my hot flashes have pretty much stopped. No side effects that I can say. I do have a sugar craving but I am not sure if it is from perimenopause or DIM. I have More joint flexibility. I feel great since taking this. It has really balanced my hormones I feel like myself. Not having side effects, has been so wonderful. Prescribed hormone treatments are no good and very unhealthy, some even cause Cancer. Natural is the way to go. Thanks, DIM. I started purchasing this DIM supplement years ago to help me deal with estrogen dominance and PMDD. I would get depressed and extremely sensitive during luteal phase. I read about how DIM is essential in helping get rid of the bad type of estrogen and can help with balancing estrogen in general. Because I have a sensitivity to estrogen ( as well as progesterone it seems), I started taking this daily. Years later, I can confidently say it has drastically changed my life. I no longer deal with estrogen dominance AND my PMDD mood swings during luteal phase are almost completely gone. Some weeks I have no issues at all. But you have to take the supplement daily. I also take Vit E to help with breast pain. This combo has been a game changer for me. I have only purchased this brand so I can't compare this DIM product for others. I don't know why they changed the title and are claiming it's for men. DIM is something women take daily.

I typically use a different brand (I’ve used four brands ever), but since I’m trying to get away from Dong Quai at the moment, this one seemed like a good option. I’ve never had any taste or smell with DIM supplements before. This one has a VERY strong scent and aggressively sized pill that difficult to swallow. I have to chug ice water when I take it to lessen the chance of gagging lol. However, it gets 4 stars because it really does feel like it’s extra strength. I’m on my second Mirena IUD (total of 2 over 9 years) and taking DIM has completely eliminated the side effects (hormonal weight gain, acne, moodiness, breast tenderness, and my period is now completely gone). For anyone concerned about headaches: DIM headaches are similar to the ones you might get when starting birth control. They’re hormonal change headaches. Try taking this supplement before bedtime and you shouldn’t have any trouble at all. The headaches shouldn’t be a problem after the first two weeks. DIM is a complete godsend and 100% worth the try for anyone on the fence.

Bought this to help balance my hormones. It’s amazing and has worked wonders! I’m almost 30 and a few months prior had started having breakouts around my time of the month, became very emotional, and couldn’t lose a few extra pounds I had gained & after starting this a month ago, I’ve had no more breakouts, less emotional bursts, and lost those stubborn pounds! Definitely gonna buy again! **Update: I’ve been taking this supplement for awhile now & it’s been magical for my hormones & PMS symptoms. Just got a new bottle yesterday and they’ve changed the formula! Why change something that’s not broken?! The bottle no longer says ‘60 Veggie Capsules’ and after opening there’s a weird smell. They also look a bit smaller than the old ones. I will try these for at least a week or 2 to see if i notice any differences or if they make me sick! ***Update: it’s been a little longer than 2 weeks & I’ve noticed some changes. It is currently 8 days before “shark week” and I can feel my cramps again, my skin is breaking out again, and my emotions are up & down. The original formula worked wonders to alleviate these symptoms and help balance my hormones. I’m gonna try these a little longer to finish the bottle and I’ll probably order from a different company.

I randomly saw this supplement suggested on a post about hormonal acne and decided to give it a shot. These things taste awful but they work. I found waiting a few minutes after I eat helps. I also take them with a sweet drink and eat a few potato chips afterwards because i read that something high in fat can help to reduce the belch aftertaste. Not only has the amount of acne decreased but my belly fat is gone. I still have acne scars so I’m working on that now. I’m 5’8 173lbs usually. I wear a girdle daily because I was diagnosed with prolapse and I had a bunch of belly fat. Today, I’m 164lbs. My sz 8 jeans are looser which is only upsetting because AE jeans aren’t that cheap. My daughter wears a 6 and I'm not able to fit hers. I’ll update on how far apart the pics are. I didn’t do a before and after in my belly fat because I had no idea it would help with that. None of them complain about aftertaste. I have non erosive gastritis so the aftertaste and belching issues may not be a thing for people w/o stomach issues. Update Dec 2024: I’m at 149lbs. I don't know if these are helping me lose actual weight or if they simply manage hormonal/water weight gain, but I definitely have less bloat/overhang around the love handles after taking these for 2 wks and i have continues to take 1-2 a day since. Whichever the case, I'm very happy because even feeling a little slimmer is helping me feel more motivated to exercise and track my eating. I feel more energetic too. These are not a magic pill for large loss of inches but I am pleased with my continued results and feel they are effective. Easy to swallow pill size. The only downside is they do give a very slight aftertaste of broccoli (contained in the capsules), but that's more of a heads up than something negative.

I tried DIM because my estrogen levels were high after being on hormonal birth control for over a decade. I started it and suddenly got a migraine on day 3, because my estrogen was so high and this was detoxing that excess estrogen - but from reading reviews here, I learned what to do. Keep going, it's so worth it. I took just half a capsule for the next 3-4 days, and I started taking Calcium D-Glucarate along with it to help my liver digest the estrogen, and I was totally fine. So if I did it again, I would do that from the beginning and avoid the headache! After a month, I feel SO much better than I realized I could ever feel - I can't emphasize enough. The acne on my jawline completely cleared up, I have no more sugar cravings, my face is more defined and less puffy (I didn't even realize it before) and I'm way less bloated and lost a few pounds. My period was great and I had no migraines, major cramps or spotting before/after like I used to. Highly, highly recommend this!

I was fortunate enough to get to try this product, right as I was looking for a supplement to assist with my worsening hypothyroidism. I was initially dealing with daily bloating, lethargy, constipation, and mood swings. But after taking this daily (for nearly two weeks), I can honestly say the bloating has mostly disappeared for me. I even managed to lose a few pound, which seemed impossible before. While it did very little for the constipation issues, I did notice I had more energy and my moods became more stable. So I am genuinely pleased about the results I've seen thus far. The only real deterrent for me, is that I am extremely prone to sinus and hormone headaches. And this supplement has given me an intense headache that flares up about 4am, every single day that I've taken it. So I find myself regularly taking pain relievers at around 1 am to combat the discomfort and actually sleep. I did however read that taking DIM in conjunction with Calcium D Glucarate, can greatly reduce the likelihood of side effects. So I have been taking the two products together for the past few days. Hopefully this will help me be able to tolerate the DIM much better. But if not, I'm afraid I will have to discontinue using it and find another alternative.
