- Body Butter

I decided to try this body butter because my skin gets very dry, especially in colder weather. I’ve used lotions before, but I wanted something more nourishing. The texture is thick and creamy, but once you apply it, it melts into the skin and absorbs pretty well. It does take a minute or two, but after that my skin feels soft and moisturized without feeling greasy. I usually apply it after a shower, and it works especially well on dry areas like elbows, knees, and legs. The shea scent is light and natural, not too strong. A little goes a long way, so the jar lasts quite a while. If you have dry skin and need something richer than a regular lotion, this is definitely a good option.

I'm a long-time fan of The Body Shop's body butters, and the Satsuma scent is a great addition to my routine. The product delivers exactly what I look for in a deep moisturizer, especially for dry spots or during colder, drier seasons. The texture is rich and creamy, more of a traditional body butter than a lightweight lotion, which is excellent for intensive hydration. It does require a little massaging to fully absorb, but I don't mind that trade-off for the deep moisture it provides. Once rubbed in, my skin feels incredibly soft, and I find the hydration lasts well throughout the day. The scent is definitely the star here. It's a bright, fresh, and authentically zesty citrus—it really smells like a fresh satsuma orange. The fragrance is strong enough to be noticeable when applying and for an hour or two afterward, but it fades nicely into a light, pleasant trace scent that isn't overpowering. If you're sensitive to heavy perfumes, this one is vibrant and uplifting without being cloying. I've been using it primarily on my arms and legs, and the texture has been fantastic, leaving my skin smooth without a sticky residue once it's fully absorbed. This tub is on the smaller side, but because the butter is so concentrated, a little bit goes a long way. I use it more sparingly than a regular lotion, so I expect the jar to last a decent amount of time. It's truly a nourishing product that makes my daily moisturizing feel like a small self-care ritual. This is a five-star winner for me and a great choice for anyone looking for deep hydration with a fantastic, energizing citrus fragrance.

Updated review! In my original review I mentioned that I was concerned the small size won’t last a long time. It’s been a month since my purchase and I have only used 1/4 of the tin. So 1 tin would last me 4 months! I have very very dry skin on my legs. If I don’t moisturize my skin will look like the Sahara desert. I got both the body butter and body yogurt to try out. The body butter is so moisturizing and not greasy at all! And the mango scent is so nice, it smells like fresh mango not artificial mango scent. By far the best mango scent I have ever smelt. And the scent doesn’t linger all day! My only complain is the size of the body butter. It’s such a tiny container. Good for travel tho.

The body butter smells absolutely fantastic and is very moisturizing! My only complaint is that the jar lid is so difficult to get back on. I really wish they would switch back to their old containers.

I use this every night & particularly like the smell of the mango & consistency of the butter. Not all scents are the same consistency.

My mom loves coconut and vanilla scented products, it’s a bi price tag but understand that with quality products, a little goes a long way and you won’t need to use them as often. Will always come back to buy more. It’s great with sensitive skin, doesn’t leave greasy marks, is a good amount for the price, and absorbs into the skin really well, no top layer or residue.

First impression – yuck! I just opened it. I was reluctant to try it because it looks like Elmer‘s paste. Wow, guess what? I think Elmer‘s might have a bit more pliability. This stuff is terrible and it actually was uncomfortable to put on my skin. I have been using a different brand of body butter Cooper that was exceptional. It is not available right now, so I opted for this. I know that the brand is well known. I decided to buy it out of necessity. I will never buy it again. This is not a body butter for the skin – it is a heavy paste. The scent is acceptable – light, fine. But the body butter has no moisturizing properties. If I could give it zero I would. I do not recommend this. I would not say it as greasy-it doesn’t have enough, moisturizer in it to be greasy. Level setting– I know what moisturizer is and I know what lotion is and I know what body butter is and this is not body butter.

Smells good in container but changed on my body to overpowering cheap perfume smell
