This is thick and easy to administer. I place a drop on bottle nipple or pacifier and baby easily ingests and keeps down. Pediatrician recommended one drop at time of birth and one drop per week for 12 weeks, which is what she did with her own kids.While at the hospital, I gave my newborn a few drops of this after her birth and when they did the standard heel prick, my baby barely bled. The tech even made a comment on how hard it was to get enough blood for the test. I’d say this works well. We are on week seven and my baby is very healthy and strong! This is expensive but very well worth it in my opinion.

This is the brand that is recommended by everyone to give to infants instead of the vitamin K shot. I bought this for my son who was born November 15th 2017. We gave him four drops on the day of birth followed by two drops once a week till 13 weeks. Studies show that this regimen is just as effective and much safer than the vitamin K shot pushed at birth.We didn't want to give the shot because of all the other junk in it...so we were pleased with this safer alternative

So thankful to have this as an option instead of the vitamin K injection (which had a black box warning) for my newborn baby. With this all her labs have been normal and we’ve had no issues with bruising/bleeding whatsoever. According to our midwifes advice we give the droops orally, at birth and then weekly until 3 months of age- pretty simple, just set a reminder on your phone or amidst all the joyful chaos of having a bee baby you may forget! 😉 my girl has done fine taking them without any problem.

Screw those creepy ass vitamin k shots filled with toxins .. When you give birth to your beautiful baby this is the way to go ! I used these on the day of the birth of my daughter .. I put a drop on my nipple and let her suckle and continued to use as directed to give her the sufficient amount of V K ! Those nurses tried to tell me that my daughter NEEDED that synthetic vitamin gunk . But I did my reasearch on this “shot” and found out it can be more harmful than beneficial in some cases ... my daughter did just fine with these drops and I had my piece of mind with all the reasearch I had done to find something soo simple and less invasive as something like this . Used en lieu of at birth vitamin k shot directly from the hospital. To be fair they (twins) weren't hurt so they didn't bleed enough to really need a bunch of clotting factor. I used the rest up after the month or so I gave it to them so they would get it in my milk, that's when I realised it tastes like elmers glue which isn't super pleasant but luckily you don't take much. I gave each three drops the first few days, then two a day until day 7. After that they got a drop a day for about a month. There was still a BUNCH left after that (Please check with your doc for dosing, this review isn't to give advice on dosing, it's to advise on quantity in the bottle)

It's the same brand but I don't know if it's the same product as the dosage percentage is 417% and the bottle looks completely different from everyone else's picture. I'd send it back for a replacement but baby is due within the next week or 2 and I broke the seal to see the bottle.

Like many people, I researched vitamin k injection and opted to have the oral version instead. It doesn’t contain anything awful. I used it for myself to allow it to pass through breastmilk and I’ve used it for baby. My hospital doesn’t supply this but they were all supportive of using this over the shot for a newborn. This brand is good and it doesn’t have a flavor. It comes out thick so it can be placed on the bottle nipple or breast for baby.
