Double battery excellence!
Just purchsed this mower from a different seller, but this seems to only place in the UK where I can leave a review! Thi Double -battery Ozito mower is EXCELLENT! I have just used it for the first cut of the grass on my allotment. This is not a lawn, but uneven grass paths between veg beds, long grass beside a hedge and two old veg beds that have grown over, so the grass is of different lengths with big clumps.. This mower cut all this EASILY on the highest setting, did not clog up at all, and has a large capacity collector. Easy to use,and push, was still going aftr 30 mins ( instructions say battery life is 80 mins). Batteries were quick to charge. Exceeded my expections. Excellent blade speed, more powerful than I was expecting - I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this mower!! Geoff Ford 23/3/19

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE AND A BATTERY SCAM
Well, I moved house just before thenlock down and with new territory came a new garden. It's not a massive lawn, but it is larger than average with a patch out front next to the drive. By the time I bought this we were in lock down, and with little else to do, I turned to maintaing my new garden. I looked around online for cordless mowers as the distance from house to lawn is quite far and it always bugged me having to dance around a cable. This came with pretty good reviews so a purchase was duly made. There are not many things I have regretted more. The batteries are terrible. They over heat and dint carry enough charge to finish the job. "OK" I thought, "I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and buy a second battery as maybe my new lawn is a bit big for it."This turned out to be an expensive folly. I bought a second battery, and charged both the night before. The charger supplied takes 8 hours to charge each one and apparently this is to help me with my electric bills. There is a fast charger, but you require a second mortgage to be able to buy that..Anyway, I am now sat on my decking admiring the 3 quarter mowed lawn before me. After both batteries lost their charge. I've had to leave them to cool down and maybe I might get some work out of them later, but seeming as its garden waste collection tomorrow morning I suspect it's not going to be in time for me to finish the rear lawn and do the front as well. This isnt even mentioning the wheels keep slipping from their fixing positions adjusting the height of the mower at random. The mower doesn't like any sort of uneven surface, so you know, going over grass is a bit tricky, and the waste collection is, well, its pitiful.Would I buy again? Are you insane? I would rather be violated by a rabid giraffe than suffer this torture again.I'm sorry flymo, I'll never look at another again!

18v brushless with 3.0 ah battery
There are a couple of versions of these lawnmowers available, Ozito is a Homebase own brand - my review is for the 18v cordless brushless 3.0 ah single lithium battery. I've been using it weekly for 3 months so far. It has 3 cut height settings that adjust by moving the wheels, I find the middle setting suits my uneven and bumpy lawn well. On my lawn it runs from fully charged for up to 45 mins on dry grass with a week's average growth, longer grass and damp grass takes more effort from the motor to cut so the battery runs out quicker. My lawn grows at different rates across it and the mower manages the patches of longer grass well (but you can hear the motor working harder so I'd prefer to cut any big areas of long grass in stages, starting with the longest cut setting). It's easy to push and is lightweight for a mower. It cuts well to edges but not right up to fence or block paving edges that are above the level of the lawn (it does it as well as my Bosh mover that was supposed to be able to). The grass collector is easy to handle and a good capacity, I empty it approximately every 15-20 mins of mowing (although I found it extremely hard and frustrating to clip it together out of the box). The handle is in a fixed position and doesn't fold easily. The battery takes 4 hours to charge with the supplied charger (I don't know if there are faster chargers available). Additional batteries can be purchased but Homebase don't seem to sock the 3.0 ah battery for this mower in stores. I paid £94 in a Homebase store that was closing down (a bargain!) and for that money I'm extremely happy with this mower (I'd happily pay more now that I've tried it for a while). I've a bad back and can mow my lawn myself again - I couldn't with a heavier corded mower. I find the whole job is a lot quicker to do now too. Battery operated movers don't have the power of corded/petrol ones and are limited by how long the battery lasts but I've been impressed by this mower so far and wish I'd bought one ages ago.
